We're only upgrading now to Windows 7 because Microsoft is no longer going to support XP and provide security patches!

Oh, my company just upgraded to Windows 7. I got switched over in September. I'm in the lab most days but I still have to use my computer for emails and reports. Our company is very slow when it comes to IT issues.

@bluestriped bee: Yeah, our IT is slow too. That's why it's taking so long to get my new computer! Ugh!! Of course, it probably doesn't help that I think we laid off half the IT department recently!!!
@shopaholic: haha, @Smurfette and I are HB-BFFs! My real-life BFF even knows about Smurfette (and that I refer to her as Smurfette, which makes my friend chuckle).
And I'm really not SUPPOSED to be on-line as much as I am, but... you know... it's HB... I have to be on here...

@Adira: do you work at a tech company? When I did, we got a new machine every 3 years. I don't think I could do some of the work I was required to do if I didn't have a pretty beefy, current machine.
