No specific chair suggestions since baby isn't here yet, but we craigslisted for our glider. We were able to get a like-new Dutailier chair and foot stool for $70.

you might want to consider one that rocks/glides. My friend had a chair from Ikea that was comfy but she never used it because it didn't rock and it was frustrating.

I totally regretted ordering our pricey custom upholstered glider after seeing similar ones for much cheaper on jcpenney.com and sears.com! So you can check those out!

@Coco Bee: oh!! well then any of those ikea comfy chairs should be fine. The only thing I'd say is make sure the arms are low enough (most comfy chairs have higher arms that get in the way). I also know people who put a small pull-out sofas or loveseats and used those for feeding.

Coco Bee, I am sorry that I don't have any suggestions, but just wanted to say that I had the second Ikea chair that you're considering and it's very uncomfortable! I got it because I liked its compact, modern design and great price, but in the end, it was just too uncomfortable to keep around. Good luck!

I hate the IKEA Poang we have...It makes a ton of noise when you get in and out of it. We used it because we had it, but I wouldn't have bought it new.
