My prom was in 1995. Matching hose to dress was all the rage back then. I just saw a picture from some high school friends on Facebook for throwback Thursday and in the picture of 5 girls, there were 2 pairs of white hose (2 white dresses), 1 pair of blue hose with a blue dress, black hose with black dress and purple hose with a purple dress. For real, people. Haha. Awesome.

I'm almost positive that I did not wear pantyhose. I hated them and I remember it being an ongoing battle between my mom and I at every event where she said I had to wear them and I said omg-no-one-wears-those-anymore. If she did win the battle I'm sure they were nude colored.

@hotchildinthecity: yes! I got the acrylic French manicure. One of my friends had bright blue nails though! Someone else had green.

Still in in 1997 and 1998! I had a teal dress one year and a royal blue dress another. Sheer white sparkly hose one year and no hose the following year (long dresses)

Pantyhose was a no-no in 2002 and 2003. I've started wearing it again this past year.

I never wore hose in high school. I'll wear black tights now occasionally, but still not often. I had acrylic nails with black tips in hs!
