I can't believe my LO is almost one years old. (3/27).
I've been thinking about our journey so far and it makes me so emotional! (no crying though, because I have issues).
Anyone else feel really emotional when their LO turned one? Or when you think about your LO turning one?
We're having a relatively small party for her (20 adults + 4 LOs), but it's going to be really nice.
I'm glad we're celebrating in style! It's a big deal! We've survived our first year as parents..!

I've already accumulated ideas for her first birthday party. hehe
Haven't decided if we'll extend to aunts, uncles and cousins or just us, parents (if they're in town) and close close friends.

@chopsuey119: He'll be one by the end of next month and I'm avoiding the party planning like the plague! I did just pick up paper for the DIY invites, so I take that as progress lol. I just don't want my baby to not be a baby anymore!

LO's not even close (well that close) to one yet and it makes me sad. I miss my little baby! Yes, I realize she's still a baby, but it's not the same. What makes me ok with her growing up is that eventually I'll get to have another baby!

i was so emotional when my first DD turned one. the day before her birthday i was also thinking... "oh this time last year, i was starting to feel contractions" or "this time last year, i got my epidural!"... i love re-living the birth story in my mind over and over again actually, DD just turned 4 years old and i still do it!
congrats on your first year as parents!! it's a huge accomplishment!

Congratulations on the way! Yes, I was so happy we chose to celebrate the big ONE afterall. It's so special. My LO is 2 months older, so very close to your sweetie.
