Ummm..... nobody told me this and we used Elementals when LO since LO was 2 weeks old with no issues.

I'm also curious! Especially in regards to the freetimes...i hear they have a different fit than the elementals

(PS how big were your babies when they fit into these AIOs?)

@blackbird: My LO was born 8lb 13 oz and it only took her a couple of weeks to fit into the diapers. But we have Elementals, Freetimes weren't available yet when we bought them.

We used lil joeys until he was about a month when he outgrew their absorbency. Some of our OS aios still don't fit we'll at ten weeks and 14 lbs. we also had fitted and prefold and with covers but used them less . I'm going to list them on the classifieds soon (prefolds fitteds and covers) if you're interested

DS didn't fit his one size cloth diapers until he was 12-14 lbs so around 8-10 weeks old. It all depends on the baby though. My son is long and lean and one size diapers just took awhile longer to fit well. We did a rental for 8 weeks for newborn sized cloth instead so we didn't invest a lot of money but could still use cloth from the beginning.

@JoJoGirl: The rental option I used was from Diaper Daisy. It was 20 fitteds and 5 covers and was perfect.

RAR OS are the only OS I know that could fit from birth.

We used a combo of prefolds, pockets, & aio from birth until P was 10lb, over 3 months. It was a small stash that we washed daily & cost around 150 bucks (still less than 3 months of sposies).

I started using Elementals and Freetimes as soon as his umbilical stump fell out--right about 2 weeks. I used disposables before that. I only had an out of the diaper up the back blowout one time, when he was 3 weeks old. But my LO was already 10 or so lbs at 2 weeks old.
