This is such an interesting thread! Makes me almost think we should start trying sooner, since the amount of time it takes seems to be the most common thing people wished they knew.
Dang it, but I really want to enjoy the included drinks on our TTC moon in 2 months, so I suppose I can wait until then.

@hummusgirl: Agree. Everyones journey is different. When I told my Dr. we would be trying within a year he gave me great advice, don't pull the goalie until you are TOTALLY ready to be pregnant because it can happen that next day, but be prepared to be patient because it often takes a lot longer. I had seen so many people struggling with fertility I was totally convinced I wouldn't get pregnant the first month (or probably the first few months) and when I did it was a big surprise.

Thanks for all these responses! This is super helpful as we are going to start trying this spring!

I know others have said how long it can take, but I'm going to say the opposite: how quickly it can happen. I have no regrets but was shocked when we were blessed on our first month. Life changes instantly, and it never goes back!

@googly-eyes: it is refreshing to hear the other side! I guess you should just be prepared for it to happen at any time and be patient!
