Just for fun and I'm really curious! It's pretty much official since our daughter tells everyone but I would like to know what comes to mind when you hear this name. I get mixed reactions or no reaction when I say it.

*He will be Leo James ( my DH is James Leonard) my name idea took a while for DH to love it.

Love it! It was on our short list, but we kept getting hung up on it sounding like a nickname. We don't love the longer versions of the name--Leonardo, Leonard, etc.

Love it! Leo was my grandfather's name and also a beloved great uncle but my cousin used it a few years ago when Her first son was born so it wasn't an option for us.

I love the name Leo James!
The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the name Leo is the actor Leonardo DiCaprio, but that's not a bad thing. I don't think anyone will think you named your baby after him especially if they know your DH's name.

I LOVE it! Leo (Henry) was on our short list, and James would have ended up being the middle name if it was a boy! And I love that it's paying homage to your husband's name but still being uniquely his!

I like it a lot! I would use Leonard James if you can and then call him Leo. He may want a more formal name later in life. That's just my opinion though. It's a great name!

Love it! My second son goes by Leo. It is short for Leonardo which was my grandfather's name. I've also never met another Leo in real life.

I actually love Leo. I would have chosen it for DS, but I like it more as a nickname (for us). Great choice!

Thanks everyone! I'm glad to get some positive feedback!! I forgot to mention my daughters name is Isla Grace, I think they work well together.
My husband finally got on board because he likes the strong history behind the name and the lion meaning, but since he wasn't into it at first I feel like he just gave in and shook my confidence about it. Also I think his family knows a lot of older Italian guys named Leo so they think of it as an old man name lol or they think of uncle Leo from Seinfeld haha. I haven't heard of many Leo's and never watched Seinfeld so to me it feels youthful and vibrant.

@LalaLove: I think it's a great name! If people know your dh's middle name maybe that's why there have been a few mixed reactions, because the names are a little similar. But I don't think it matters, personally! I really like it.
