What do you think of this name? Just general opinion, how does it strike you, etc...don't think we'll share our final choice IRL until birth. I think we would go with Minka Grace. DH and I have been through and vetoed just about every name in the world. Older sister is Luisa. Please take a moment and give me your thoughts!

I have to ask, why is "minx" not a flattering description to associate with a woman? I think it's a compliment and take it as one when I've been called that. I think of someone who is alluring, (not necessarily sexually), cunning and spunky.

I immediately thought of Minka Kelly. As a stand alone name, I'm not sure about it. It reminds me of "mink" or "sexy". Luisa seems classy and sophisticated, so I feel like they're two very opposing names!

Sure, it makes me think of Minka Kelly, but what name does not have a name association?
My first daughter's name can be associated with a pop star, an author, and my second daughter's name can be associated with a cheesy cartoon.
I don't think there are any names out there that have zero associations.

i think it's kinda cute. it does make me think of a restaurant i used to go to called minca, but it's not like i'd meet someone with that name and be all "you remind me of a restaurant!"
