My friend just got off her period and took an OPK this morning. It looks blazing positive. Is it even possible to ovulate this soon with just ending your period last night?

@LBee: she's was doing a test run with it having never used them before. It was just for giggles but it turned out positive so we are confused

@littleblessings: I don't think you can ovulate this early. But it's possible her AF was implantation bleeding.

How long was she menstruating? The OPK kits I used suggested testing on day 8 of your cycle. For someone with a 7 day period that would mean testing the very next day.

@Ash: I'm guessing the 2nd since OP said it was "blazing". Personally I'm not familiar with this brand. So, I was guessing.

@BandDmommy: the control line doesn't look very dark then. I'm almost wondering if it isn't being read wrong.

Maybe the two lines were mixed up? I am not familiar with this brand but if I turn the pic upside down it looks the same but reversed.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: her period was 7 days. It was longer than usual.
@Ash: the second line in the pic is control or at least that's how it is labeled on the box.
@Shizaz: I don't know what brand it was. I just know that the part dipped in urine is closest to the darker line. -
@littleblessings: I'm just used to the control line being dark... that's really really light.

With my first successful pregnancy I ovulated a week early so it is possible! Other possibilities could be pregnancy or I think pcos can cause false positives?

@littleblessings: i used the cheap wondfos and the control line was closest to the side dipped in the urine for those ones. So I think I would get her to double check on the instructions. I agree that if it is the control line, it looks too light.

HPT came out negative. She must have been reading it wrong.
