Do you ever go to these? I've been meaning to take the kids, especially to ones around our place that start at 7:30... but a friend went and said that the actual movie didn't start playing until after the sun went down (9 pm). That's too late for my kids!
Do you do outdoor movies in the summer with your kids?

Same here, I want to but they don't start the movies til it's dark enough, which is ~9pm

Not usually during the summer since it's gets dark so late, but we have our own projector and watch movies (and football) with friends on the barn in the Fall and Winter. We also have a big Elf viewing Christmas Party every year. I don't know if anyone even offers outdoor movies around here, honestly.

We do our own in the backyard in late summer/fall once it cools down a bit and it starts getting darker earlier. Our LO has never stayed up that late (she goes to bed at 7), but we have invited our neighbors over and they bring their kids.

Sometimes - I don't mind keeping E up once in a while. Plus, she'll fall asleep on the way home for sure!
We are going to one next week with some friends. There will be tons of food trucks there, followed by Tangled!
ETA: we did this almost every evening we were at WDW at the Yacht Club. They had s'mores and roasted marshmallows on the beach, followed by a kids movie. So fun!

We went a few weeks ago... I didn't realize it started so late. They had pre-movie entertainment that started at 6:30 and my daughter really enjoyed that. We watched an hour of the movie and went home at 10. There is another one tonight I am considering going to, but I think we will skip it because we recently came home from the west coast and I've been working hard to try to get her back on a more normal schedule.

We used to go every summer but it's way too late for my kiddo. Especially because they're in Manhattan or Brooklyn and we'd have to travel.

My son won't last past 8 pm, we tried to take him out one night and after an hour he asked to go home to go to bed.
I kind of feel like it's going to be a while until we can do an outdoor movie.
