My nephew is turning 7 and my sister suggested “outside toys he can play with when we have play dates”. Any favorite active outside toys for that age?

Maybe a swing that you can hang from a tree if you don't have a swing set. Like a tire swing or something.
Scooter/bike/skateboard
Soccer or hockey net or basketball hoop
Probably not but I'm sure he'd also love a trampoline.

@skipra: oh my sister would never want a trampoline (he fell off a little tikes slide- 2 feet high- and broke his wrist. So she is very cautious!). He would like a soccer net but i don’t really know what to look for in one- any specific suggestions?
@Charm54: you don’t think 7 is too old for a stomp rocket? The 4 year old crowd seems to love them so I thought 7 would be too old.
Also he is my god son so I don’t mind spending a little more if it’s something he will love.

@Foodnerd81: My nephews are more into hockey. I bought this for them 4 years ago and they are still using it! The youngest is about to turn 8 and oldest is 14 and it's a favorite for all of them. I'm sure you could find something similar for soccer with good reviews.

Best thing I ever bought was a $5 giant frisbee, the kids go nuts over it.
I really wanted to get one of those geo dome things, but we went with a hugglepod. One place you can look for unique things is Hearthsong.

Fat Brain Toys also has some fun (and kind of wacky) "big" or "outside" toys.
Personally, I remember LOVING Moon Shoes around that age!

Maxi scooter or 2 wheeled scooter. We don't have a yard so I'm not sure this would work, but what about a badminton set?
Or something like this, every time we go into a sporting goods store, my 7 yo plays with it. Alas, we don't have a place to put one: https://www.amazon.com/Mookie-Classic-Swingball-Tetherball-Set/dp/B00GOTTI04/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1519195627&sr=8-8&keywords=tennis+ball+pole

sidewalk chalk, bicycle, scooter (2 wheel), roller blade (I heard my friend got that for her 6 year old, and my son can ice skate pretty well since 5 years old), and any kind of ball would be super entertaining
