I'm scared to leave the house with mine because I can't chase her anymore at 7 months pregnant.

@mamabolt: mine is better behaved in public!

We're five months away from three, but already feeling it, hardcore. The leaps and bounds in which she has developed is awesome. I love the complexity of play, the language acquisition, and saying "good riddance" to diapers. But holy fishsticks, her tantrums, the mood swings, the stubborn refusal to budge on a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. Girl, bye.

Oh.Em.GEEEE. You guys. Three is no joke. And now with a newborn in the house? I'm exhausted with the baby, so I know my patience is already short. I feel like all I do is yell at D because he JUST.WON'T.LISTEN. It's so frustrating. Everything is a battle.

Mine is still two but OMG! We had our neighbors over today and he was on his absolute worst behavior. I lost my sh!t and yelled LOUD and I don't normally yell... Yeah so at least it wasn't only my son who was on his worst behavior

@Finfan: Right there with ya. Mine FINALLY sttn last night again after a couple weeks of waking several times a night (sick though) and only one other night she slept through after a late ER visit. And my 4 month old was up once an hour or more from 1am to 630 when we were up for the day. I feel like I am physically going to fall apart soon.

@2littlepumpkins: We had a better night last night. I hope the same at your house.

@littlebug: this. Exactly. My new babe is 4 months now and it's gotten slightly better but I feel like I yell so often at my 3yo!

My daughter isn't even three yet - still another 5 months to go - but she was a beast today. She really wanted to stay home and play with her toys but we had a huge list of errands to run so she had to trail around after us all day. I get it, it was boring, but oh my god - kicking hell out of the car interior as I drove, causing a great fuss until I changed the CD then freaking out because she "doesn't like" the very CD she asked for, stabbing aggressively at the dinner she refused to eat until the plate shot across the restaurant table, asking to go to the toilet ten million times while we were in public places, misbehaving at my mums house deliberately so we had to leave..... it was all a huge performance to make us give up and go home; as soon as we got home, she was perfectly happy. Ugh.

OMG the attitude sometimes! Like he will wake up from his nap and I ask if he wants a snack and he just screams no like I'm telling him he needs a rectal exam. I wonder if he is a 3 year old boy or 15 year old girl!
BUT at nearly 3.5 he has been so super sweet and helpful a lot more. The past week or so he has been giving so many hugs and kisses and "I love you"s that it totally makes up for the attitude. I am hoping that we're turning a corner and fingers crossed that all of your threenagers do too!

@skipra: this gives me hope! LO will be 3.5 when baby arrives, maybe he will have mellowed by then!
