So I know I was saying that I didn't want to do anything too crazy for the 2nd birthday but once I start I can't stop. This is why I'd rather not start. DH just said "You are out of control". Tell me I am not alone with this! I know there are a lot of you out there who love party planning, too. Hehe.

@andrea: I was planning on just doing a simple BBQ at a park. But I ran the idea by my hubs the other day and he didn't want to. He said he'd rather do it at a restaurant. How many people are you planning on inviting?

@Andrea: ill try to post them tomorrow, my husband stole.the.computer tonight. They're going anywhere we have space. Mantle, tables, etc. Its a garden theme but it'll be too hot to go outside so I want to turn our house into a garden. But I cant afford real flowers so tissue paper flowers it is.

I am already planning my son's second birthday, in my mind at least. It takes me a really long time to get stuff done, so I need a long lead time.
Birthday is in December, lol.

@artbee: you mean for this 2nd bday? well, remember how i wanted to do cake only and an email invite? well somehow cake has morphed into cake, cookies, cupcakes, and an ice cream bar. and i got a paper invite. and according to DH my favor bags are now "over the top". i am enlisting my graphic designer friend to make printables for me......ummmm, go big or go home?

@artbee: i know. guys just don't understand. my DH is complaining that people don't want to eat all that dessert in the afternoon. is there really a WRONG time of day to eat cake and ice cream?

@Andrea: what a funny complaint! He will be thinking differently when its all in front of him. I was talking to my husband about my flowers and I said I think we won't need much more than 97 flowers. So he said we probably need less than 97 flowers. But I know he'll think it's awesome when the house is fully decorated!

@Andrea: I hope so. But I threw him a very cool chick fil a party for his birthday (he is obsessed), and I think his reaction was more like why did you put so much work into a party? He's used to simple, order pizza's and a cake, maybe have a store bought happy birthday banner hanging up. But I like to go all out!

My sister asked me the other day if we're having a monster party because I'm pinning so much monster stuff... but no. I'm also pinning camping party, baking party, and painting party in hopes that some day LO will want to do those!

@andrea: Hubs doesn't want a bbq cause he thinks it's too much trouble (set up/clean up). He said he'd rather just do it at a restaurant just to make it easier. I think it's cause he's trying to make it as easy on me as possible since I'm almost 5 months pregnant. Guess he's trying to be helpful.

@Andrea: Thanks! I'm having the most fun with the vases. I'm making them out of random things around the house, like paper towel and toilet paper rolls, jars from pasta and other things, water bottles, cans from food, and the one in the picture is a girl scout cookie box with some yarn wrapped around it.
