Would you ever consider having eyeliner tattoo'd on your eyelids? Or have your eyebrows darkened permanently?
I have many many friends who've had both done in LA. For a pretty decent cost (I think $250-$400) you can get this done.

No. First of all because I'm just not a makeup person. But if I was, I'd be afraid that whatever I did will go out of style later on in life and I'd be stuck with it. Imagine if someone did that in the 80's and had some sort of crazy, bright color tattooed on their eyes.
I know someone who got black eye liner tattoo'd on and she still puts eyeliner on every day.

My mom did her eyebrows ages ago but still puts more make up on top. From what I have seen of hers and a couple of other people I know, I am not thrilled with the results so I have never considered it for myself.

I wouldn't ever want to do it...no desire, never considered it. My moms friend has her eyeliner done & it does look great, just not for me.

my friend just got eyeliner done and she loves it. she's going back to do eyebrows. my cousin also had her eyeliner + eyebrows done and loves it.
i'd LOVE to not have to put eyeliner on, but i don't think i could do it. mr. bee would not like it also.

I wouldn't do it because I don't wear makeup often. I also think make up has trends and I wouldn't want to be stuck with something once it goes out of style.

I haven't ever considered it. I would worry about what it might look like in 20 years time. I would rather have the 'hassle' of putting on make-up then having permanently weird-ass eyebrows/eyeliner.

I've done both eyebrows & eyeliner. I went to someone in LA, CA (if you need a referral please let me know!) She did long strokes so it looks very natural and not like I took a sharpie to my eyebrows. I LOVE the eyeliner but it hurt like crazy to have it done. Getting eyebrows done was like cake compared to the eyeliner. I have very sparse brows and during the summer, it would smear when it was hot so now I don't worry about it!

I might try lash extensions but not permanent eyeliner or brow makeup.

I haven't seen it done very well, and I'm pretty fair, so I think it might look weird. I wouldn't do it.

Oh wow, never thought about it. Probably not, because I don't even wear eyeliner on a daily basis. When I was working and wore makeup, I never did my eyes. Just concealer around the eyes and a special concealer on the lids because my lids are so dark and shadowy.

I wish I could permanently color my lashes. They're thick and long but light brown/blond-ish (I'm a redhead). I need mascara every day to not look tired/washed out.

I like the idea of getting eyeliner done but the hubs would kill me.

@mssally: I can't imagine how badly that would hurt!! Right on the eyes. Yowie!!
So, is the permanent make-up something like tattooing? It really is permanent, permanent? I don't think I could do it - I'm not a big make-up wearer to begin with - and I'd be afraid I wouldn't like it later!

I've seen people that have had eyeliner and lip liner tattooed on, and 20 or 30 years later the colors changed to a weird bluish-green gray. So no, I would never have it done.

my friend did eyeliner in Korea and altho it looks MUCH more natural than ones done back in the day, she said the pain was so excruciating, she almost walked out with only one eye done.

No way i barely wear make up anyway. I worked with a lady who had her eyebrows tattooed on and she wanted to go back and get eyeliner and lip liner done too. It looked soo fake and unnatural.

I don't know. I've seen a mother have it done (years ago) and now she doesn't look so great. So I'm not sure.

I don't usually wear eyeliner to begin with, so I couldn't imagine having it done forever. I also worry about 'down the line' how it will look.... If I had permanent eyeliner like I used to wear it 10 years ago..... shudders....... not a good look!

No way. My mom has her eyebrows done and hates it. It's faded so I don't notice it, but she says they're uneven...
I just can't do tattoos of any sort. The permanent factor (aside from laser removal) doesn't sit well with me.

Two people I know have their eyeliner done and it looks great. However, all the people I've seen/know with their eyebrows tattooed on look very weird.
I wouldn't do it and I love tattoos.

I like the practicality of it, but could never commit to one makeup look for the rest of my life.
