That's my husband's reasoning against my top boy name, Lucas. He thinks it's a player name. The only ones I can think of are the stereotypical stripper names.

@swedishfish: oh man. student names caused so many problems when we were picking a name. DH thought all my name choices were old fashioned and vetoed them, but every name he suggested I'd taught a kid who ruined the name for me. Hence me picking old fashioned names that weren't common among the generation I teach. Its amazing that we agreed on a name at all.

So far both our kids match the meaning of their names.

@mamimami: I knew a Chastity and she was the sweetest person, ever! Come to think of it, she really did fit her name!

I met a girl at university once called Charity and it did not fit her personality at all!
