I need some input ladies...I'm finally getting around to making a wedding album (6 years after the fact! We had professional pictures done but never bought an album...I have all the high res files). What site is better/easier to use to do something like this? Mpix or Artifact Uprising? Obviously quality is super important but so is the ease of putting it together....what do you think? Anyone have personal experience? I'm not concerned about price at this point!

I haven't used the other one, but I love Mpix. I have also used MyPublisher with good results. They had an epic sale recently and I was really impressed with their quality. They were pretty easy to use with the download program.

My husband used my publisher to make ours (I look back and I am still amazed/shocked he did that)
You don't have aperture for Mac do you? Aperture makes the most gorrrrrgeous photo books (I think the Photos app has the same functionality). They have a few really clean, modern themes/layouts. Really easy too

Unfortunately we do not have a Mac.

Or pinhole press. I used that for newborn photos but you can't edit. So basically only good for pics that have already been edited by a pro (like wedding pics!!)

I used mpix to make our wedding album and I loved the way it turned out. I didn't do the top of the line page options, but it's still really nice and turned out great!

@Ginabean3: also another thing to consider is that with some publishers the design process is online so you'd need Internet access to work on it. with some (my publisher? I'm not sure don't quote me on that) you download an app so you can work on it offline which is nice if you have a few minutes here or there with a laptop or don't have reliable internet

@Ginabean3: Like @LITTLEBIT7 said (I can confirm cause I just made one), MyPublisher is offline. You download the program, select the photos you want off your computer (or cloud account like onedrive), and then put them in. They will do it for you, or you can design it yourself. Their lay flay pages are really nice.
I don't remember how it was with MPix. I usually order my prints from them, but their books are pretty expensive so I tend to go elsewhere first unless money isn't an object.

I just used Artifact Uprising to make a book of my project 52. I was extremely pleased with the quality (I'm something of a photography buff and quality printing is extremely important to me). I've never used the other one but I have used shutterfly and my last book with them was very poor quality in comparison to Artifact.

@lamariniere: I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to hear a little more About AU! I love the look of their stuff and quality seems great... but when I downloaded the app, it seemed I couldn't write captions? Was that your experience for as well, or am I missing something?
I'm debating between Chatbooks, AU, and print studio.

@Mrs. Pen: I did everything on my computer through their web interface since I had all the pics organized on my computer and not on my phone. You can insert captions...I don't remember how, but I think it was something simple like a text box. Their customer service was very good too, I emailed them a question about formatting and they got back to me the same day.

MyPublisher was always my favorite, so sad they are closing.
