if you do photocards for the holidays, do you use a professional photo or nonprofessional? i think we're too late to book a professional photographer. guess i will have to rely on my dad to take a picture without his thumb in it.

We do professional. It's pretty much the only time of the year we get pictures will all four of us in it. Plus I think DH takes horrible pictures of me lol so it is worth it.

Ugh, I wanted pro but can't find anyone available without paying a ton. I have a friend with a good camera but she can't even take them until early December. Must remember to book in October next year!

We did non-professional this year and last. Last year's were taken by my dad (who has always been into photography, but is not a professional). They were taken using a digital SLR. This year's are just of LO and they're just photos we took of her last month that ended up turning out great!

@luckypenny: that's an advantage to doing professional because you get nice family photos each year! my husband would probably kick and scream though. what a killjoy.

We had professional taken from a newer photographer, it was under 100 so it was worth it to me!

We've always done non-professional. This year we did pro because it's our first year with LOs and we skipped NB photos so we could get family shots later. I think we'll go back to non-pro shots in the future!

We usually do professional, my MOPS group does a fundraiser every year where we get a mini session and some of the money goes to pay the photographer and some goes to our group. I love it!
