Confession, I have no desire to go bring the kids take pictures with Santa. Im a horrible mom... I know!

Ya I don't want to pay 30 bucks for a 5 by 7 pic of p not looking at the camera. My hubs is going to dress up as Santa so o could still get a pic of pierson with "Santa"

I just feel bad, because we did it for Mavricks first christmas but then we'd skip it for Sienna? It just makes the whole, the second time around not as special for the kid. no?

We didn't do it but I love seeing photos of other kids with santa. Especially when they're crying or screaming. Ok that sounds mean but you know what I mean... haha

I've tried for the last two years, without success, so she can't blame me for not trying. I'm a superstar mom, haha!! The blame is all on her for not wanting to get within a foot of Santa!!

I love seeing crying with mall-Santa pictures! We weren't going to do it, but there was a free stall at the mall last week. I'm thinking about stopping by just to take 1 picture, idk if it's really worth the hassle though.

So, I think maybe it's because I never did Santa pictures when I was growing up, but I have never felt any desire to do Santa pictures with my kiddo (or the Easter Bunny, or any other character where you have to wait in line at a mall)... maybe I'll feel differently next Christmas when I actually have a baby and not just pregnant, but I doubt it... all to say that no I certainly don't think you're a bad mom for not wanting to do santa pics!

We took LO to a Santa brunch yesterday and he was TERRIFIED of Santa. I don't think we'll be getting any photo ops. Like, not even of him crying with him, because he will NOT let go of me near Santa.

My co worker's sister takes her rabbits to the mall for Santa pics, all 8 of them, then emails the pictures around the whole family like they're grandkids or something. Pretty funny but actually cute pics!

We always did it as a tradition when I was little, so although you pay an arm and a leg, its something id like to continue with LO
If you don't want to do it, don't do it! no biggie!

We went to the mall last year to have Caidence take pictures with Santa, I took my camera though and didn't spend any money on ordering pictures.

Lol, I have no plans. If my daughter ever wants to, I'll happily take her. But she'd just scream if I tried to give her to a stranger.

ha - i thought i was the only one. I am definitely not planning on bringing LO to see Santa until he asks to go.

I kind of want to, but then DH reminded me how much I hate crowds this time of year, and how anxious and crazy a Santa line would make me, and @stargal: just reminded me that "Santa" comes to visit at my BIL's house every Christmas to hand out a few toys he forgot to deliver the night (usually played by either FIL or DH) so I can get a picture of that then.

Awww....I'm excited to do Santa pics next year. I even love the crying ones...they're priceless! Would the grandparents take LO for pics? I know my in-laws took our nephews for all their pics. And @Mrs. Sunglasses: my MIL took nephew #2 for Santa pics because everyone else got too lazy to take him for pics.

If by picture with santa you mean picture of LO running away from santa scared.

I think what turns me off is that when Mavrick had his first Santa picture, the Santa was so Awesome, as in the real deal. But since he got so popular he went to higher things (tv shows) and was replaced. The replacement is blah.
This was Mavrick's first pic with Santa. so magical.
