We have our plAyroom at the back of the house so all the toys and mess stay back there 🤗

Yes, we were lucky and found a house with a play room in the front of the house, right off the living room. It has a huge window and double doors so I can shut it at the end of the day and not feel bothered by the mess! I love it! We plan on making it a office/guest/den after all our kids are big and not need an entire room for toys. One hopes at least, lol.

We switched up the rooms in our house. The living room is now our family room, and the family room is now our play room. Toys are still everywhere, but a majority of them live in the play room.

We have a 5 level split so we have a whole play floor that opens into the backyard. It's one of the reasons why I fell in love with the house!

I really want to turn part of our basement into a play room but we need to sell our pool table first.

Nope, we don't have space for one. One thing on our wish list for our next house is a family room/den/play room.

No, our play area surrounds the family room and computer nook. It basically takes over all of the entire top floor. However, the living room downstairs isn't as affected.

We won't have a dedicated playroom. We are planning to house bins in the four shelves of our media cabinet in the family room. With movies and music streamed onlin we don't have a need for those shelves really. The rest of the toys will be in the baby's room. I'm strongly leaning to putting a dresser/ folded storage in the closet so the baby/ toddler has more space in the room to play.

We do, but it's definitely not big enough!!! Would love to finish our basement.

We have a designated room, but we also have a play corner in the living room.

We have set up our loft upstairs as a play room. it is really just an open area in between two bedrooms. We have recently removed a couch from the room and now she loves it (it really opened it up). I'm going to move two bookcases into it to store her toys. Currently it has a play table, a princess tent, a dress-up box, easel, a lazy-boy recliner (that I regret because it is so huge) and a bookcase on the side wall.

We don't have a room. When DD is older, her play space will be the basement as opposed to the living room right now.

We do. It's nice to keep toys out of other areas of the house.

We have a small playroom downstairs and a game room upstairs. When they're older and need less direct supervision, I'll turn the downstairs room into a study/computer/game space and the upstairs will be their space. @Smurfette: ours is a similar setup. It's technically an office with French doors. It's right off of our kitchen/breakfast room/family room.

our 3rd bedroom is tiny, so I really badly want to turn it into a playroom and have our kids share a room, but yea - that won't work. Infant and 2 yr old in same room next June???

We do actually. We got a 3 bed townhouse and use the two bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs master is used as a playroom/ computer room.

We try to keep most of his toys in the den off of the kitchen. We don't have a formal living room- just a large family room in the front of the house and toys end up there too. I want to finish the basement so badly- it's already 70% finished but we've spent so much money this year.

@Bao: I mean, I guess 75% of their toys live in the family room. So in a way that is their "play room"? But they also have a play area upstairs which is dedicated more for arts & crafts. And their dollhouse lives in the spare bedroom because I think that way there's the least chance of pieces going missing.

We are pretty clean and organized people and I can't imagine a scenario where ALL their toys actually stay in one space all the time!

Our living room is essentially their play room. I'm fine with it. I mean half the people in the house are under the age of 5 so it's fine. I have the rest of my life to have an "adult" living space.
