Anyone else? I don't have a creative decorating bone in my body. I am terrible at it. My son is 16 months and his room still isn't even close to finished. I finally just hung a few things on the wall today and we've been here for almost a year and a half! We don't really spend time in it because it's so plain and boring haha! I just don't know what to do in it.
Our master bedroom is similarly bad. We don't even have a bed frame or headboard. We had it painted a navy blue when we moved in and I'm not sure why I ever thought that was a good idea.
And now that it's such a bad color I feel like we have to repaint it before even attempting to make it feel like a nice, romantic, comfortable space.
Sigh. I can't be the only one, right?!
but I like a more eclectic mix. Usually West Elm, CB2, Home Goods, garages sales, consingment furniture stores and antique stores are winners for me. I agree, you need to pick out paint, larger furniture (like a dresser and headboard) small furniture (like nightstands and a cocktail ottoman) then accessories. Also pick a budget in advance.
