I did and still remember it as well. I think it's a shame they don't still say it.

@Mrs. Cowgirl: We always used to say Amen at the end b/c we were at Catholic school and would forget not to.

I remember it vividly at my first elementary school, but that's the only place I remember ever doing it.

I definitely did, the high school I went to says it over the loud speakers every morning and almost all of the teachers make the students at least be respectful and stand up for it.

We said it every morning in grade school. That was followed by our morning prayer

@Grace: It is my understanding that a lot of school boards stopped their schools from saying it because there is a part that says "One nation, under God" and people got all riled up about that. But it seems like some of our teachers here on HB are still saying it and that makes me happy!

@MamaMoose: LOL it's definitely not silly. But for some reason I was imagining kids singing it like the anthem!

@Mrs. Lantern: HAHA I typed it wrong.. needed a comma. It should have said "it's not a song, silly". Calling you a silly goose for imagining us all singing : )

@MamaMoose: HAHA got it! I'm totally envious 'cause we only get to sing the Canadian anthem at special events!

In elementary school, yes. I don't remember if we did it after that though.

We still say it every single morning, grades K-12. We stand silently, recite together, and then observe a moment of silence. At least that's how it works in theory. We also say it before school board meetings and district wide faculty meetings.

The whole class did every morning with the morning announcements until HS when it was "banned" to.
