I'm about a size 16 and I have a wedding coming up in May when I'll be 13 weeks. The week after is our babymoon/anniversary trip. I'd like to buy something to wear for the wedding and possibly for our trip too. I'm curious whether I'll actually be sporting a bump at that point or not. Currently I'm down about 5-7 pounds and don't have a flat stomach anyways, so I'm not sure when it'll start growing and rounding out.

I don't know that i'm plus sized, but I had A LOT of extra belly weight before getting pregnant. If I push my stomach out right now, at 10.5 weeks I could easily pass for 25 weeks.
I'm not rounding out yet, but I feel like the pouch below my bellybutton just shot straight out to where my family has said I'm very clearly showing.

Nope. Didn't have a bump until 7 months. And even then it was "is that fat or baby?" Type.
I will say I was a 14 pre-preg but immediately started wearing size 16 jeans and was loads more comfortable. And I lost 9 pounds the first tri.

I was probably a 12/14 before getting pregnant, and there wasn't a visible change to my appearance until 18 weeks. I could tell my stomach was getting hard at 15 weeks, but not really expanding on the exterior at that point. I was still able to wear my normal pants up til 20 weeks (with some looser shirts to hide the muffin top...).

I'm size 12/13, and by 13 weeks I was still trying to pretend there was a bump. There was (is) a bunch of bloating, so no tight fitting stuff. Which, if you like to minimize rolls (like me), you probably don't wear those anyways. I'd shoot for some sort of Empire waist flowy dress.

I'm a 16 too and same, I always carried weight in my belly. Before probably less noticably wearing the right clothes. I think it depends a lot on your torso/height, but it would be safe to pick something with a little extra belly room. My sister got married when I was at that point, for her rehersal I wore a pink dress that was empire waisted and roomier and I knew it would be fine no matter how much I ate or was showing. I was 12+4 then. Of course this pic is AFTER dinner when my dress had been wrinkled from sitting!

(PS- it was from target from when I was a size 18 so it was a tad roomier than intended I think, which I liked bettter than when I wore it when I was heavier! It's not a maternity dress.)

@MrsCB: LOL!! I know right? I was wearing a fancier (and a little more revealing) dress for the wedding so I was like let's keep the girls in the night before haha. I bet there will be tons of options for empire waist dresses, they're the best bet!

I'm a 14/16 and I didn't look pregnant until 18ish weeks... I still wore normal clothes and fit into them fine at 13 weeks for sure!

I didn't have any bump at all. As somebody who was an 18/20, I had people who saw me a few times a week for work not know that I was pregnant.

I'm a size 14, and 14 weeks. My belly has gotten bigger, but its probably the normal progression it would have taken if I'd gained 5 non-pregnancy pounds. My pants and some dresses are tight, but it doesn't look like a baby bump at all. If I were you, I'd go with something roomy, but not necessarily maternity.

I'm an 18-20 and had the same experience as @MaisyMay . I was about 30 weeks when office ppl started noticing.

I was a 12/14 pre-preg, and I started wearing maternity around 12 weeks. I was crazy bloated, and couldn't fit in any of my regular clothes. I felt like really pregnant by 15 weeks, but I don't think it was really noticeable to anyone else. I found that I looked more pregnant if I wore tighter/figure-hugging clothes. If I went baggy, I just looked like a huge ol' fatty. I didn't start taking my monthly photos until 15 weeks, but here I am...

Thanks everyone, I love the pictures! You all have such cute bumps. My body hasn't changed at all and my jeans are falling off me, so I'm thinking I'm going to be a late bloomer. Either that or suddenly balloon up one day.

I was a UK 16 pre-pregnancy (I think that's a US 14) and this is me at 13 and 15 weeks. I felt as though I woke up one day and was massive - but people at work said that they say the bump appearing from around 8 weeks and guessed I was pregnant!

I was a size 12/14 pre pregnancy (and I'm very short). I'm 15 weeks now, and have decided just to wear marternity pants now because they are SUPER comfortable. At 13 weeks, I wasn't showing at all, but was very bloated and my stomach was puffier than normal. I'm still not showing that much, but my stomach has grown (I've only gained about 4 lbs thus far), even though I'm the only one that has noticed.
