@LAZB: Thank you, hun! I appreciate it. I'm starting to get nervous and am playing the "what if" game πŸ€” in my head: What if it gets called off? What if we forget something [like the sample]? What if it doesn't take because I'm older and have Endo? Argh!!! πŸ˜– I keep telling myself to keep positive but I think I may be psyching myself out. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ #PsycheOut #FrustratedButExcited

Nervous, excited, and as hopeful as ever ...

    Let's get this party started:

UPDATE @ 1002: A, surprisingly, easy procedure! πŸ‘ I have all 3 follies but 2 will probably ovulate [soon]. Since Thursday, one grew 5-mm!!! DH's SA was over 73 million! RE wants us to BD today and home ICI tomorrow morning. He thinks this "may" do the job. POAS between the 28th (my brother's bday) and the 30th (my Godfather's bday) and bHCG test the 30th if AF doesn't arrive!

    @snarkybiochemist: @Skiierchck99:
Thank you for the bra trick!!! DH's sample was up over 20+ million from his last sample!

DH went back to training for a bit before coming home so we could fulfill our IUI duties (πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™Š). To keep the LOs involved (since DD REALLY wants another sibling to replace DS πŸ™„πŸ˜’ ... and DS LOVES babies and keeps telling me I need to give him a "brodder or sisser," 🀣), I took the kids out for Italian and ice cream and told them we are a biiiiiit closer to adding to our family but NOT there just yet. We are now waiting for DH to return to have his surprise supper and dessert. ICI tomorrow then the dreaded 2WW. 😢

P.S. @Skiierchck99: I was so happy to read your transfer went well! 🀞 Also, instead of just having you as a bHCG, I will add you to the board for your POAS date.

I'm out for this month. I got some spotting yesterday and I'm so pathetic and hopeful that I really believed it could be implantation bleeding. But today it's unmistakable that it's AF, 9 days early. I've gone from an absurd 38-day cycle to a ridiculous 26-day one and I don't even know what to think. I'm crying and drinking some wine.

90% I'm out. Have been having spotting for 2 days but that's been my normal lately and I know I ovulated late. POAS on Saturday morning, absolute negative. Will test again in a few days if still nothing but spotting but I'm definitely not hopeful. I don't know if I have much more trying in me - just can't seem to get too excited about it. But getting increasingly excited about being a family of 3!

  21. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@MoonMoon: @ScarletBegonia: I'm sorry that AF came (or is coming). I can say, without a doubt, that I understand how gut wrenching it is to be happy, hopeful, and riding high on the possiblity of a BFP, only to have AF show. As you both know, I have grieved many cycles and have drown my sorrows in a couple glasses of Merlot. I always ask myself if I can handle another month of putting in the effort for TTC, and some months I am forced to take time off -- but, ultimately, I find my way back because the want for a LO is just too great. I really do feel for you. MoonMoon, take time to grieve your cycle and then, if you choose, begin a new cycle with the positivity of a possibility for a BFP. Scarletbegonia, I know you may not be hopeful but I will keep everything crossed that the spotting is ONLY spotting and you find your BFP after all.
    Hugs to you both.

So, no temp rise 55 hours post trigger. I know the trigger is 99% effective in inducing labor and may cause wonky temps, but I have always had a rise atleast 48 hours after trigger. I'm starting to wonder if this cycle could be doomed and I am in the 1% whose trigger did not induce ovulation. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ It is always something, isn't it?!?! I wish TTC were easier.

@Kaohinani: thank you for your kind words.

I was also frustrated on your behalf at reading your update, but I really really hope statistics is on your side right now! Fingers crossed, mama.

  24. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@MoonMoon: No problem ... I truly mean everything I wrote. Thank you. I am going to remain hopeful that I did ovulate as my RE's office told me I would be ovulatory any time from 36-48 hours post trigger which is why they scheduled my IUI @ 36 hours, then had us BD @ 40 hours, and ICI this morning @ 55 hours (0700) post trigger. I was told that only 1% of women do not have ovulation induction using Ovidrel, and since I have successfully triggered before with ovulation, I should assume I will ovulate. With that stated, πŸ€” I will assume that I ovulated yesterday and the meds are messing with my temps. I will admit that I am extremely frustrated that I do not have definitive evidence of ovulation using my BBT. I may not even be able to take a day 21 P4 test to check for ovulation since they have me starting Crinone tomorrow. IDK if the progesterone inserts would mess with the test results. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

@Kaohinani: I'm sure everything is alright, your body is just acting a bit different with all the meds and so the temps are a bit different too. I have high hopes this is the one for you!

  26. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@paranundrum: Thank you so much! I appreciate your positivity and your faith that this cycle could [finally] take. To update, this morning, my BBT was up .78Β° F! FF wants to place ovulation on Friday (which would be less than 24 hours after my 9 pm trigger on Thursday) so, I had to manually change it to Saturday which was the day I had my IUI at 36 hours post trigger. That makes me 4 dpt/2dpIUI today. Also, I have read a few studies that state the HCG trigger can cause a delayed rise in one's BBT and can result in an all-around elevated BBT. I begin my Crinone suppositories (P4) this morning which will also elevate my temps. I am so glad that my temperature DID rise before I began the Crinone, though. I, atleast, ovulated 1 of the 3 follies. Now, the waiting game begins πŸ€” ....

@Kaohinani: Great news! Now you just have to find ways to keep you busy until your POAS date.
Do you think you will be less anxious testing this cycle?

  28. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@paranundrum: Yes, ma'am, I am certain I will be anxious! I know anxiety is counterproductive and, in all honesty, everything is completely out of my hands at this point ... I mean, DH and I BD-ed 4 times, had an IUI, and an ICI all when the REs office advised us to do so. At this point, there is little else I can do to sway the outcome, so I just have to keep busy until the 30th. If this cycle doesn't take, I want to see if my RE will consider ONE more try at IUI before moving on to the "big guns" (IVF). I am hoping he will allow for it.

@Kaohinani: I agree with @Paranundrum: you've definitely put everything you can into this cycle. From my perspective you look set up for big success!

AFM, went to the RE this morning for an US, estrogen level and ERA results. Detailed post on ERA over on the IVF board, but the test was normal. No changes to make. Lining looks good, and imagine estrogen level will be fine as well. That makes for an Oct 1 transfer date. We're putting in all three then closing this IVF chapter for a little while (a few months if not forever).

@Kaohinani: Staying super positive for you
Wanted to thank you for your kind expanation on OPKs. I've been testing twice a day and STILL O- no smiley faces! What's interesting is that all my downloaded apps, Flo/Glow and OVIA predicted yesterday as O day and this week as fertile week. But my OPKs say otherwise. I will keep testing and we are still bding every other day but I'm really hoping I get my soon! Today I am CD14. I'm fairly regulated. Anyone wants to predict when I will get this darn smiley face? Love to all!

  33. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Mrs.Panda: Thank you! πŸ’œ You are too sweet!

@yellowbeach: Thank you so much! πŸ’› You know I highly value your insights and opinions. I will read up on your ERA results on the IVF board. From what you have written here, it appears your results were normal so there won't be a change in protocol for your cycle. While, I am certain, it is great to know there is nothing "wrong," I can only imagine that you must be frustrated. I am excited for your transfer though ... 3 embies at once, huh? Are they all the same grade? Sounds exciting! Hopefully, that will significantly increase your odds for atleast one (or two πŸ˜‰πŸ˜) to stick! 🀞

As for me, the Crinone is kicking my butt. Two hours after insertion, I began gagging, cramping, and now I have a horrid headache (* not migraine intensity, but pretty bad). I don't really understand (outside of it being ART protocol and to maintain a cushy uterine lining) why someone like me with consistently high P4 levels and an uber-long LP, would need to supplement. It just makes me feel miserable πŸ€•πŸ€’πŸ₯Ί, and already pregnant. I suppose, πŸ€” if it means I may get my LO, I will make the sacrifice and gag my way through the TWW. 🀣

  34. Kaohinani

@LiliBillie: Thank you! I am glad that my responses were helpful. Just keep testing & baby dancing πŸ˜‰. Best case scenario, is you get your smiley in the next couple of days. 🀞

@Kaohinani: Yeah I remember Crinone not being so fun... I feel that way about my PIO shots... seems I get nauseated and fatigued or lightheaded about 30-60 minutes after the injection but then it subsides after an hour.

  36. MoonMoon

    pomegranate / 3393 posts

@LiliBillie: my apps and my cycle don't quite sync up either! For my first time, Opk showed me that I ovulated late and had a short luteal phase. How long are your cycles all together?

@Kaohinani: oof, Crinone sounds thoroughly unfun! Is there anything you can take or do to counteract these side effects?

@yellowbeach: sounds like positive updates so far... Here's to Oct 1!

  37. LiliBillie

    cherry / 105 posts

@MoonMoon: This is my second month off BC, last month I was at 27 days cycle. I do hope I will O soon.

  38. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Yellowbeach: I feel for you because I know your are not particularly "thrilled" about needles. A plus though, atleast your symptoms subside relatively quickly ... I couldn't imagine working in an ER and feeling so miserable for an extended period of time! πŸ˜• Because the Crinone is absorbed slowly vaginally, I find the side effects last up until a few hours before I turn in for bed ... so, long story - short, I feel all-day "ick." 😟

@MoonMoon: Thank you. I don't mind the Follistim (although I gain weight on it) or the Ovidrel trigger (all my Follistim symptoms, with exception to weight gain, go away the day after I trigger); however, I loathe taking Crinone. It is messy and I have all sorts of side effects (usually nausea/gagging, headaches, cramping after insertion, fatigue, dizzy spells, constipation and bloat) while in it. I complained to my RE for two cycles but he said the progesterone supplements (pills) do not work as well [as they have to go through the digestive system before entering the bloodstream] and most women feel some sort of nausea from them anyway. I inquired about PIO since I have no problem administering injections, and he said intramuscular injections enter the bloodstream faster than pills, but if I am sick on Crinone, the PIO may be worse. My only option is to use the Crinone (1Γ— daily) or Endometrin inserts (2x a day) πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. Kinda a bummer but, hey, anything for a baby, right 😏?

  39. yellowbeach

@skiierchck99: How are you surviving in your 2WW? Will you POAS at home or wait for beta?

  40. skiierchck99

    kiwi / 518 posts

@yellowbeach: hanging in there! Mostly having the most intense itching and welts from the PIO shots and it is driving me crazy. I’ll probably POAS this weekend sometime...

The upside to no trigger shot is there’s no hcg to trick the test!

Sorry to hear you didn’t get more helpful results - 🀞🀞🀞 that this is your sticky cycle!!
