@MoonMoon: I’d say you’re so close but not quite positive. Mine always progressively get darker, so from that one I would expect a positive soon, maybe this afternoon even?

@DamnedSpot: thank you, that's what I thought! I got the positive yesterday so I guess it's fading away by now.

@MoonMoon: I agree with @DamnedSpot - not quite positive now, so based on last night as you say, likely on the down slide of peak. Did you sneak in some BD time?

I'm out. But onto the next round! Assuming my cycles keep doing the 46 day cycle followed by a 33 day cycle thing, my next POAS day will be Feb 15.

@raspberries: I'm sorry, hoping for a February BFP for you!
Maybe you have written already and I just don't remember, but why do you have such long cycles, what do the doctors say?

@paranundrum: Thank you! Hoping the same for you!! The OB I used to see said the long cycles are within the realm of normalcy, as long as they don't go over 60 days. Since I've managed to have two healthy babies using OPKs, she wasn't super worried about it. I've since moved to a new state though (and switched doctors obviously) so I'm going to talk to my new doctor about it at my annual next month - especially since this swinging back and forth in cycle length has only started since my miscarriage.
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@raspberries: I'm sorry!
It's good that you have your annual with your new Dr coming up, good chance to ask any questions you might have.
clementine / 811 posts
@raspberries: oh, ok. Even if it isn't anything to worry about, it still must be pretty annoying. Second opinion couldn't hurt. I hope you get some answers.
coffee bean / 46 posts
@raspberries: Sorry you're out. For what it's worth, my cycles after DS (3 years old) alternated 24 days and 27 days, like clockwork. I'm sorry yours is such a big gap between the two though, ugh, and hoping the new OB has some insight. At least you're on the shorter cycle this month
AFM, I was so relieved that AF arrived 4 weeks after the d & c, instead of the 6 or 8 weeks that the OB said would be normal. But now I'm not getting any change in my OPKs (CD15) and I've still got brown spotting. I'm thinking this cycle is not actually back to normal. Just frustrated that MY timeline is not my body's timeline.

• Cycle Day: 3
• TTC Cycle (or months TTC): Just coming up on a year of NTNP with quite a few months where the FW was missed
• Ovulation Date: 29th/30th Jan
• POAS Date: 13th Feb
• Baby #: 2
BONUS, For Fun:
(1) What were your highs (and/or lows) of this past holiday season? Had an amazing 2 1/2 week beach holiday, definitely the high! The low is today - the 2 year anniversary of losing my son at 21 weeks pregnant. Having a very tough time today and very weepy. Making a cake to eat after dinner tonight to pay tribute.
(2) Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Relax about TTC and trust in the Universe - my husband and I are both happy with 1 child if that's what we are getting, so we are going to continue with NTNP for the foreseeable future. Also kick ass at my new job!
(3) Is there anything else you would like to share? TTC after loss is a trip. Also, I live in Australia where we have been dealing with these insane bushfires for months and its really making me question my desire for another child. What a world we live in!!
(4) Are you trying anything "different" this TTC cycle? Nothing much! Just having sex when we feel like it and not using protection. I'm aware more or less of my fertile days but trying hard to focus on fun and intimacy rather than baby making

@DamnedSpot: what you said, "frustrated that MY timeline is not my body's timeline," really spoke to me. It encapsulates the roller coaster that is ttc.
@ScarletBegonia: I am so sorry about the loss of your son, and I hope today's anniversary isn't too difficult for you. I love the idea of paying tribute to him.
Also, I wish I could adopt your healthy attitude about ttc. Sounds like you have really good perspective on the bigger picture.

My (unknown) POAS date has been bumped form January to February, because they won't do a fresh transfer this cycle. It might even move to March down the road, everything depends on how my body recovers.

@paranundrum: How do you feel about your transfer being moved to later? Changes in plans are tough!

@ScarletBegonia: welcome, and I’m sorry about the loss of your baby. I wish you peace, throughout these cycles. And the fires, wow, I hope you & your family are safe, and that something changes for the better, soon!
@paranundrum: I’ll echo @raspberries, how are you feeling about the change?

I'm in a weird zone. It's the tww, so I'm hopeful and full of anticipation but... A logical part of me knows chances are not too great and I shouldn't get my hopes up. And tonight at work a couple of big zits showed up on my chin/jaw which sounds more like a pms thing than a pregnancy sign...
clementine / 811 posts
@raspberries: @DamnedSpot: I'm not happy about it, but it's for the best. It gives my body time to calm down before the transfer and hopefully increases my chances for a healthy pregnancy.
clementine / 811 posts
@MoonMoon: I'm sorry you're not feeling too optimistic. You have the next steps worked out though and know when you have the next appointment and what the plan is? I find TTC easier to survive by just going step by step and not thinking too far ahead.
I do hope this is your cycle though and this is just a little hard spot before getting a BFP.
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@paranundrum: you're right that waiting might be the best thing to do ultimately, but in the moment it's hard! Try to take care of yourself in these next few weeks... Did the Drs order any specific supplements or other steps to take during the wait?
clementine / 811 posts
@MoonMoon: I have twenty more days of shots, bloodthinners, so I don't die. They hurt and I'm not happy about it. And I'm still on meds for my thyroid, high prolactin levels and I'm taking folic acid too, but nothing new, I just have to get better, not get a blood clot and grow a great lining so we can do the transfer next cycle.

I'm out for this month, ladies.
Just taking today to be depressed and mopey, then looking forward to DH's urology appointment on 2/6 to see if it can shed any light on our situation.

@MoonMoon: I'm so sorry! Mope as much as you need. I really hope you get some answers from the doctors soon.
I'll add your next POAS date on the board when you're ready.

@DamnedSpot: @paranundrum:
Hi Ladies! I'm sorry I went completely MIA.
I had a BFN and took it very badly. Complete breakdown and crying uncontrollably. I for some stupid reason thought this month- because I did everything right- was going to be my month. I'm much better since then. Taking this month off tracking and overthinking and trying to concentrate on being OKAY. Thanks for checking in on me! Love to all of you on this crazy journey.

@LiliBillie: I'm so sorry it has been rough for you. Take all the time you need and we'll be waiting for you when you're ready to jump back in.

@paranundrum: thank you my dear! Looks like my poas date will be 2/14...
How are you doing? How has recovery been from your retrieval?
@LiliBillie: aww I'm so sorry! I really identify with that feeling you describe, I have had a few really low points after BFNs. I hope this month is filled with self-care for you.

@MoonMoon: I'm well, thank you! Luckily the recovery from the retrieval has been quick and easy. The prevention/treatment for my mild OHSS is well under way too. We have found a way to make the shots a bit more bearable and I'm drinking lots and lots of water, so I hope the next time I see my doc, she'll say I'm fine and won't need to continue with treatment and we can do a transfer.
I know you said your husband's appointment is in two weeks, but do you have anything else planned? When is your next appointment?
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@paranundrum: so glad! I might need to borrow your tricks for making shots less painful some day!
My next appointment is the fertility Dr on 3/3.
clementine / 811 posts
@MoonMoon: I'll share gladly.
I know the beginning of March seems so far away, I had the same slow start. I went to the fertility doctor for the first time in April last year, ten months have passed, no pregnancy still, but I feel like there's hope. It seems like a long time, but in truth the time has flown by. I hope it does for you too.
