How's everyone doing? I think we've got a few people in the TWW - hope it's speeding by for you all!
I'm due to O on Saturday if things go as predicted. It's supposed to be dark and dreary all week though, and I really just want to catch up on sleep!

Sorry I've been super ghost lately.. I was just trying to process this loss.. it was just soo very confusing, and I still don't know what to make of it. My numbers have changed as well. I just ovulated yesterday 1 week later than expected... so that would make my new POAS date 2/8... so now my TWW starts...again, not sure how to feel.... i guess still processing... but yea, how is everyone holding up???
Any plans for this next month?

Posting on behalf of @kaohinani:
“I haven't logged on in 4/5 mos. I am STILL not pregnant (after 4 years on Valentine's Day 2020) ... actually I have a huge cyst (right ovary, AGAIN) atm and I turn 40 next month. Super depressing. Our insurance doesn't cover IUI or IVF so IDK if I will continue trying after my cyst resolves. I feel so alone and lost (* and extremely sad) but I know I am not... infertility affects so many of us. That stated, I wanted to share with you that I have followed the entire podcast you sent me (and beyond) ... just recently, one of the fitness influencers on the blog fell pregnant ( https://www.today.com/today/amp/tdna172661) and while I am extremely happy for her, I am even more sad for myself as I am older than her and have been trying 2x as long. I greatly appreciate that you introduced me to Infertile AF. Part of me wants to rejoin the board but I am paralyzed as everyone I struggled to conceive with has conceived (you, Lazb, Sam's Mom [who I super miss, along with you], Jessiemuller88, and MrsJBEEG). I haven't checked in HB in months because I am absolutely lost. I do want you to know that I still think of you all and I thank every one of you for any support.”

@yellowbeach: thanks for posting. Her message breaks my heart so much - I just wish I could do something somehow.

@raspberries: I'm in kind of a TWW too, not in the traditional kind though. I'm waiting for my next appointment where I find out if it's possible to do a transfer this cycle.
I hope you'll be able to catch O and catch up on sleep too!
@chypmunk: I'm sorry it has been rough for you, hopefully this cycle will bring the long awaited good news.
@yellowbeach: Okay, so I must be a bit of a medium after all. I had a dream tonight that I logged on and Kaohinani had written. I miss her so much and think of her often. I would love to exchange emails with her if she's up to it, but don't have her contacts. Do you think you could ask her how she feels about that?

@chypmunk: I'm sorry, it's so tough. I totally identify with the "still processing" feelings. And I feel like those are compounded by the fact that I can't just pause life and my body and take time to process. I feel like I have to keep paying attention to when AF should be here, when will O happen, why am I getting 13 high days in a row but no peak reading on the fertility monitor, why the heck is AF starting on cd17, why am I having an 8-day AF, OMG, I'm getting older and older
We won't ttc until end of February, but I finally got a peak reading this morning, and I just hope that my body is ready to get back to normal
@raspberries: hoping you catch O this weekend!
@paranundrum: I hope you're feeling well, and recovering well. Fingers crossed for good news!

@paranundrum: I’m pretty sure @SamsMom has her email and communicates with her that way. I don’t think she’s logging in to HB very often but you could try to wall her.

@yellowbeach: I actually did that two weeks ago, but no answer. I'm sure she has a lot going on and doesn't have much time to spare. She's so close to her due date now!

Hi all! I finally ovulated! Wahoo. POAS day Feb 4th. My hopes are low. At least when my period comes, I can schedule the rest of the testing through my RE. It feels nice to have a plan and to be able to keep moving forward. Anyone else have long cycles but no PCOS?
I’m sad to hear that update from @ kaohinani. I loved her posts (so smart!) and think of her often. I’m a military spouse too and the lack of insurance coverage is frustrating. I hope she’ll come back when she’s in the right place!
@damnedspot: Feb is coming up fasstttt!

@lemonfrombluebell: I have 40-45 day cycles and no PCOS. We did IVF due to male factor but was able to easily get pregnant both times!

@lemonfrombluebell: I hope you get your BFP very soon, but you're right, having a plan really helps a lot. Good luck!

@lemonfrombluebell: I know, I can’t believe it’s February already I’m right there with you, glad ovulation finally happened! Fingers crossed for a bfp this week, but if not, with testing, a plan always gives me some reassurance!

@yellowbeach: I think of kaohinani: often, she was such an encouraging and knowledgeable presence as I took baby steps back into HB. That message is so raw and real. Please send her my best.
@lemonfrombluebell: good luck with poas tomorrow!
@paranundrum: when is your next appointment?
No real updates from me. Still juggling dtd and my wonky work schedule. On a positive note, I finally took the leap to put in a shift bid to move to days or evenings. Wish me luck! If I'm approved, I won't be working overnights any more by May!

@lemonfrombluebell: Good luck testing today!
@MoonMoon: My next appointment is this Friday and then I'll find out if we can transfer this cycle!

@paranundrum: wishing you an awesome appointment with good news! Friday is so close

@MoonMoon: Thank you so much!
I found out today, that I have a three day long work thing next week I can't get out of, so as always, everything just piles up and I'm not sure if we can make the transfer happen this time around. I guess I'll see how it goes.
coffee bean / 46 posts
@paranundrum: ugh, I’m sorry to hear about the work thing. I’m really hoping you get good news on Friday, and that a transfer won’t line up with the work commitment
@MoonMoon: Fingers crossed the shift change happens! Are you hoping to make a switch for ttc reasons, or something else?

Annnddd negative. Womp womp.
I’m only ten dpo, but I got a bright positive at 9 dpo for my son, so it feels over for me. I’m working on my positive attitude but it makes me so sad. I got an evap this morning (took another test right after) and that feels especially cruel.
Anyways! Onwards and upwards, right? I’ll be over here online shopping my sadness away.

@lemonfrombluebell: I'm sorry you didn't get good news right away, but there's still time. Hopefully it was just too early!
@chypmunk: Wonderful! Fingers and toes crossed for a sticky baby!

@paranundrum: ditto @DamnedSpot! Sending positive vibes from Argentina!

@DamnedSpot: @yellowbeach: Thank you both! Unfortunately no transfer this cycle, the endometrium isn't where it should be for a positive outcome. Next check is in a month and I'll start additional meds to help it along in the beginning of next cycle.
On a brighter note - today is my first needle free day in over a month.
@yellowbeach: I hope you have a great trip!

@lemonfrombluebell: @mrsjbeeg: @bhbee: @yellowbeach: @paranundrum: @damnedspot: Thank you sooo much ladies!!! REALLY hoping for a sticky nugget!
@lemonfrombluebell: try again! I was negative on 10dpo but positive on 11dpo last time... anything is possible!
@paranundrum: take your needle-free day and do something extra nice for yourself!

@paranundrum: That sucks! I had the same issue the first cycle after my retrieval. Subsequent cycles they had me do vaginal estrogen in addition to oral. I hope next month is the month for you!

@paranundrum: Ugh I'm sorry to hear this. But needle-free days are nice! And you've got a good plan in place to make the best environment for your little bean

@chypmunk: yay! Beautiful line!
@lemonfrombluebell: I'm sorry about your negative. I know how disappointing it is, and trying to maintain optimism is hard. Did you retest...?
@paranundrum: yay to a break from needles, and best wishes on next month!
My DH's visit to the urologist yielded a diagnosis of varicocele, which I'd never heard of, but the urologist says addressing it can reverse infertility pretty quickly, in the absence of other factors. Unfortunately the solution he offered was surgery and DH is understandably wary to jump in. I'm trying to be supportive and at the same time I'm seeing a timeline of months and months and the clock that's ticking in my head just keeps getting louder and louder. On the one hand having a diagnosis and possible solution is a relief. On the other, it means I can't really keep up hope that we'll somehow magically conceive any time soon.
kiwi / 518 posts
@MoonMoon: oh man tough spot with dh but exciting that there is maybe an easy fix! I kind of get that surgery is scary but then again as a woman I’ve now had two (polyp removal and ivf retrieval) sooooo my sympathy is low haha. Is it covered with insurance? What’s the real risk? Honestly to me a clear solvable issue is like the best possible diagnosis when it comes to infertility.
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@skiierchck99: that's how I feel!
I'll have to check with insurance for the specific procedure, but so far all our tests and consults have been covered, which I'm really grateful for. DH is nervous, because the Dr mentioned general anesthesia and a 2 week recovery, which does sound serious. But at the same time, I'm like... this sounds like an actual solution?
kiwi / 518 posts
@MoonMoon: Maybe find out what “recovery” means? Like does it mean no intercourse or legit missing work stay at home recovery. And is it general like intubated, or like the twilight (that j had twice)? Honestly the propofol nap was pretty great...Lol. I’m sure he needs time to process but I’m excited for you that you may have an answer!
