@everbee: I'm too scared to try the pastry one, I know for sure I'd mess it up!
@runnerd: I honestly am not very good at checking CM. I may just invest in some ovulation test strips...

@runnerd: I'm not very good at checking CM either, so I don't really trust it. It's true the temp shift will happen after it's too late-- I use it to confirm that O happened, so I can start counting DPO, and so I know we can stop the EOD BD and go back to whenever we feel like it. We just start BD every other day around the earliest I've ever Oed or when I notice any CM, and keep going until I see my temp shift confirmed. For some reason I just don't want to use OPKs, even though I'll temp every day at 6 am and sometimes feel my CM. It's not logical but there you go.

@.twist: oh no, no way to mess it up~! you take rolled out store bought puff pastry, spread preserves if you have (cherry, fig, raspberry all work, but i think anything would be fine) and put the brie on top and wrap the entire thing and bake at 375 for like..20 minutes? also good savory with sundried tomatoes instead of the preserves. mmmm..

@Foodnerd81: gotcha! thanks for hat explanation - makes sense, I think that is my issue, I wasn't really understanding how people used the temp info but that makes perfect sense

@everbee: oh wow. That sounds absolutely delicious!! I am going to have to try it!

BFN for me this morning, but still no AF. Today is day 28 of my normally 26 day cycle.....

@alayaya: I'm sorry. Do you chart at all? Give it a day or two and maybe test again?
kiwi / 629 posts
@marionberry: Thanks. No I don't chart at all. I've been trying a lower stress approach for the past few months... I figure AF will probably show up tonight or tomorrow, but I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

I wonder if I am always this miserable every month. Being super aware of all the aches, pains, and cramps of my body is turning me into a hypochondriac
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@runnerd: I know what you mean-- but it also helps me to realize things like, oh, yeah, this always happens the day before AF (or whatever) because 1) I know I'm not actually sick; 2) Not every symptom means pregnancy, much as I might want it to; 3) If it really sucks, I know it will only last a day (like I get really down the day before AF, but now I can remind myself that I'll feel better tomorrow when it happens).
Also I just really like to have way too much info.

Ok I know I am crazy to even think I have a chance this month but my period is due today and it hasn't come yet... Ugh I need to not test or I will just be disappointed. Maybe I'll test if it hasn't come in a week? I hate this!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@PrincessBaby: @Jennimac: I can't. I don't want to see a negative besides my cycles could just be turning long again. It's cd31 and that's when my period came last month but I'm so scared. Ugh I hate this ladies!
pomelo / 5073 posts
@anonysquire: I get it. Sometimes it is better to wait than see that blank screen.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@Jennimac: @PrincessBaby: no. And this month I wasn't actively trying. Just not preventing.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@.twist.: I've just been so convinced I've been pregnant then gotten negative after negative. Like every month I have every symptom. I just hate feeling crushed.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@anonysquire: It sounds like it is much better for you to wait. I've the opposite-- I'd rather have an answer, even if it isn't the one I want, but I haven't been at this that long. You know yourself well enough to know it's worse to test early. Be strong! It's only a few days and then you will know Fingers crossed for you, though.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@anonysquire: oh yea, I totally can understand that. I know that even though this is my first cycle, I'm pretty sure I'll be waiting a while longer. I'm already prepping myself for disappointment. I can imagine it's hard after a few times. Waiting is so frustrating. Like we don't go through enough right, this is hard too!

Well I'm out. AF finally showed up this evening. On to cycle number 11...
Good luck to the rest of you!

@Alayaya: I'm so sorry!! Stay strong, it *will* happen! I hope you have a lovely weekend to take your mind of things. x
@anonysquire: I know how you feel, I'm too scared of the negative to test as well... Staring at that white space, willing that non-existent line to show up, and being disappointed again and again.. I get nervous just thinking about it! Granted, I'm only at 9 dpo so it's too early to test anyway but I've been nauseous for 3 days it's making me crazy! Hang in there!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@PrincessBaby: @Jennimac: @.twist.: @Foodnerd81: @glimmersnaps: @mrsvdv: Bfn. Yet again. I knew it would happen. I was dumb and decided to test. Blah. Anyways now I get to wait for af. Or maybe I'll have a 50 day cycle again.

@anonysquire: I'm sorry. There's nothing worse than that blank window.

wow..i missed out on this thread last night. and i checked this morning because i was going through the same thing @anonysquire went through. my temp started to drop yesterday, so i didn't bother to POAS. i totally agree with anonysqure. after seeing negatives so many times, it's really defeating to see again. but this morning, my temp went up 1/10th of a degree and i've never felt so hopeful in my life~!! against my better judgment, i decided to POAS. and when it said "Not Pregnant," i've never felt so defeated in my life T-T

@alayaya, @anonysquire, @everbee: I'm sorry ladies. I've been there and even though you think you know it's going to be a BFN in the back of your mind, you get hope for just those few seconds as you wait for that second line to appear. I'm sorry that it hasn't. That feeling kills. My thoughts are with all of you! You're now allowed a few days to hate life (I usually do).

@.twist.: @everbee: You can do the same thing with crescent roll dough instead of puff pastry too! I might have made that for lunch on Thursday...lol.
I'm very excited today because the trigger is pretty much gone. I got the faintest, lightest line this morning and I think it'll be completely gone tomorrow. Today is only 3DPO so I'll after I test tomorrow I can wait a few days and if I get another positive I'll know it's for real :-).

Hello! This is my first time posting. This is our fifth cycle of TTC and AF is due on the 21st. I’m going nuts and trying not to obsess during the wait. The first few months of BFNs weren’t too disappointing, but this last one in October was terrible. I cried and cried. I don’t want to be disappointed again! It is nice to read your posts and see that I’m not alone!
pomelo / 5073 posts
@MrsCB: yay!!!
@Colee: good luck! I try not to obsess, but then days pass and I start testing. This month I've got way too much going on o be obsessing, so we will see if that helps.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@anonysquire: so sorry.
@MrsCB: oooh, crescent rolls! That reminds me, you use those pilsbury dough boy crescent rolls and you put brie and craisins in them. bake em.... nomnom. It's such a great appy too if entertaining!

@Colee: welcome! this is my first time around, but agree the boards are great! good luck. I know how I am and can imagine I'll be feeling same after a few months

@anonysquire: I did the same thing this month... you're human and wanting something so badly is normal... keep your chin up. :)) but I'm still sorry for your bfn.
@alayaya: :(( So sorry!
cherry / 153 posts
@Jennimac: Thanks! I am going to be busy this week with parent teacher conferences and report cards, which will be a great distraction! Hopefully, that will keep the obsessing down to a minimum. Good luck!!!
@runnerd: Good luck to you! I hope your TTC journey is a short one. As women, we've all been warned that having unprotected sex just one time can lead to pregancy. If only it were that easy!!!

Hello! This is my first post on Hellobee. I've been watching the board for a few months, on and off. Now that my husband and I are TTC, I figured I would post. It's nice to have such a sweet community to talk to when you want to keep everything a secret for family and friends.
So, here goes:
What are you thankful for: My very supportive husband, my puppy dogs, and many other personal experiences I've had this year.
O Date: Between November 12-15.
TTC Cycle: First cycle!
POAS date: I want to test on Thanksgiving before we visit family, for no other reason than I want to...even though that's 6 days before I should technically test. My real test date will be November 28.
Best wishes to everyone so far this month!
