Hey yall! I'm back at it again this month! I just got AF for the first time since my second MC on July 21st (which made for a 33 day cycle, mine are usually around 26 days). I'm not really sure when I'll be testing because I'm not sure what to expect out of my body this time around. I'm hoping to test on the 19th (which is my hubby's birthday), which will be the 29th day of the cycle or earlier depending on when I ovulate. This is our third month trying and I hope our third time getting pregnant!

@Dr. Pepper: Welcome! Good luck this month! This is our first real month of trying after MC in June. Wishing for sticky little ones for all of us

First month TTC for us! I am not planning to temp/chart--I am working two jobs and in grad school with a singing group on the side and I think I might go crazy with one more thing to do--we will start being more proactive in 6 months if nothing is happening. In the meantime, the plan is to test 9/16! Please add me to the list I look forward to getting to know everyone.

@dr. pepper: welcome back! I know how hard it can be coming back from losing a pregnancy but I love how upbeat your post sounds!

Please put me on the chart for September 3rd (if nothing changes). FF gave me crosshairs on the 20th, but thats early for me so I'm having a hard time believing that my cycles are finally working themselves out after our mc.

I'll join to follow along with you ladies, but I really have no idea if I'll be in for September or not. I could ovulate on CD23 like this month, or on CD 35, 40, 45 or 50 like some of my previous cycles.
But we'll be optimistic now, won't we!

Ugh I am feeling negative this month. I have like no CM and my cervix position is so freaking low
papaya / 10570 posts
@Anonysquire: I feel the same! With it being my first month off BCP, I have no idea how long my cycles are going to be or what to expect when I O but, if I have very standard cycles, I'd be due to O tomorrow - but I have no CM and got a neg OPK this morning. Humph. You may have to put my POAS date back... I'll let you know!
When are you hoping to O? How long in advance do you usually see signs?
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@Ali: Well last month my cycle was 38 days and I O'd cd21. Today is only cd17 but I am still scared that I haven't had any symptoms. And I took the clomid 3 days earlier this month so I thought I would O 3 days earlier than last month. Ugh idk! I told DH if this month doesn't pan out I will be taking a break til Janurary. I don't want to be an emotional wreck for the holidays.

Do you think there is such thing as getting pregnant with not a lot of CM?
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@Ali: It's pretty unusual to jump right from BCP to O on CD14, so don't be discouraged if you don't O at the "standard" time right away! Keep using the OPKs and be patient.. most people's bodies need some time to regulate after coming off BCP.
@anonysquire: I think it's possible but CM helps. Do you have pre-seed?
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@JoJoGirl: yep I have my pressed and I use it daily. I guess we are on the sex everyday thing.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
Like many others before me have said, this whole 'waiting to O' business is ridiculous. Especially if I don't O until CD50, like I have in the past. Fingers crossed that its something more manageable - like CD20 or something!
Just sitting at CD6, twiddling my thumbs.

@RedSmarties: I think if I didn't O until CD50 I'd be going crazy. I'm the world's most impatient person. Props to you for being able to handle that! I have about a 27 day cycle and the TWW kills me lol.

@redsmarties: Fingers crossed that this one will be good!!!
I am at 10dpo, otherwise known as the "pfft, I'm so not pregnant" phase of the TWW. Sigh. I wish my temp would go crazy-high or something, so that it would feel different, but it seems the same as all my other cycles.
pear / 1974 posts
I am at 6/7 DPO and I have zero symptoms of any kind, whatsoever! I'm not too hopeful for this time around but man this TWW is no joke! I might actually wait till AF is late though, I don't think I want the disappointment of BFN so early on..

@Hanzabelle: I do not even know where I am at this point lol. I think I had EWCM last night but we have been BDing everyday for a week and we are going to do it everyday this week and then every other day til September 15th when my period should be due. Atleast you know when you ovulated, so exciting!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@redsmarties: CD50 you O? Jeez! My cycles used to be 50 days and this last month they went to 38 days with clomid. Are you taking anything?
pear / 1974 posts
@anonysquire: whew BD every day!! Good for you - I honestly don't have the energy and I'm lame. I wish I could to improve our chances but I am just so beat every day when I come home from work!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@chibee: I think it is because this is my last month trying til I take a break til Janurary. So I am all sorts of desperate lol. But my body is all sorts of sore and for some reason I am having cramping maybe. I don't know, we are probably over doing it. And I work 50-60 hrs a week so I know what you mean about being exhausted. I about fell asleep last night doing it lol.

Looks like I got a nice spike in my temp today, so hellooo BD!
I haven't been temping quite as regularly; I'm trying not to stress quite as much as I did last month. I started grad school this weekend and I figure I have enough stress right now! I really only temped this morning on a whim, and boom! .6 degrees higher than normal!

Woohoo!!! 25 wondfo strips greeted me at the door after work! Thank you amazon.ca! So happy to not drop $$ on drug store tests this month! (although do have a digital ready and waiting hidden in my underwear drawer...)
PS - hidden because my dad was visiting this weekend and now we have steady stream of company for the next 2 months...

@ambular1025: Yeah, its pretty annoying. But after 20 months, I'm just happy that I ovulate most of the time.
@Grace: Isn't that the worst? I think everything from 3DPO - 12DPO should be outlawed.
@anonysquire: I'm taking just about everything imaginable (that's natural). My current dr. is useless and doesn't think that Metformin will help, and doesn't feel comfortable with prescribing Clomid. So when I finally get a new doc, hopefully he'll be on the ball.
@Bookworm: I might just have read this wrong, but did you say that you START BDing when you get a temp spike? Because the temp spike comes after you ovulate, so if you're just starting to BD, its already too late. If I misread, I'm sorry!
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
@redsmarties: LOL no no, we definitely BD about every other day whether I am ovulating or not! I meant it more as a 'I should make sure I BD tonight!' type of thing
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@Bookworm: Oh, ha ha awesome!!! So glad. Didn't mean to sound condescending or anything, I just wanted to make sure. I had a friend who was TTC for 6 months before she realized that she WASN'T most fertile directly after her period.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
@redsmarties: Oh no, it's fine. I re-read my post and I can see how you got that...there do seem to be some women who have a very big gap in their sex ed knowledge!
bananas / 9628 posts
@redsmarties: when you O that late in your cycle, are you charting or using OPKs or CBEFM? How do you know you did in fact O? When do you give up on a cycle? Like you stop looking for O signs? I'm on CD55 with no O yet, but I've kinda given up looking for O and am just hoping for AF, but if you've O'ed that late maybe I should still hope to O... I'm happy you decided to join this thread, now I have someone with crazy cycles to commiserate with Are you getting your periods on your own or are you inducing them? I'm almost ready to ask dr if she'll induce it earlier just so I can move on from this cycle. My acupuncturist is going to do an electro acupuncture session on Friday for me, I'm hoping she can get me to O or start AF. Fingers crossed we both O soon!

@mrs. bird: Aaaaaand I'll be officially stalking you now to see how the electroacu goes!!!!

Ok I am bored. If you want to copy/paste these questions and answer them yourself and repost then do it!!!
Where are you in your cycle: CD19, I think I ovulated but won't find out til Friday
Any symptoms: Kinda crampy, but I think it's cause of BDing too much lol.
Favorite food: Deli sandwiches
Brand of test you will be testing with: The cheap strips off of Amazon.
Play along!!!
bananas / 9628 posts
@jholler25: haha, I'm flattered she didn't wanna do it the first couple times, but I think even she's frustrated with my cycle & my low temps! She said Friday she's breakin out the big guns and she's gonna zap me- I'm excited! I'll be sure to update with how it goes I should prob start with the OPK strips again after she does it so I can see if anything happens.
