    @buttermilk: I'll say from experience.. Easy to clean is key! The first one is beautiful but cleaning it would be rough..

    @dc yoga bee: Haha! So much for the whole breathe in, our, repeat whatever saying... I didn't even get that far the first time!

    @buttermilk: Adorable!

    @LindsayInNY: Can you share the podcast?

    Do you all put your legs up?

    I lay with my knees bent so my hips are tilted up. I read somewhere that laying with your legs up too far can cause your pelvis to tilt too much where the semen pools instead of going up into your cervix.

    I was sitting propped up on pillows for a bit to watch TV, and I wonder if I was defeating the purpose, or if it matter that my chest was elevated slightly.

    @Crystal: I searched it in iTunes. It's from CNY Fertility Podcast. They only made 4 back in 2012. I listened to the "Releasing Control" one.

    I put my legs up or bend my knees but not for long. I'm kinda lazy about it.

    @Crystal: I prop up on a pillow for about 20 min every time. DH thinks it's hysterical and always makes a big deal about stuffing the pillow under me lol

    @LindsayInNY: Thanks! I'll have to check it out!

    @Crystal: I put a pillow under my bum too. For a bit. Bit my new fav is to do it before we go to sleep so I get to lay flat for the next 8 hrs!

  9. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @buttermilk: Aren't you afraid of UTIs?

    I tend to get those, so I am always afraid to just go to sleep.

  10. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

    I just like to do it before sleeping so I don't ave to get up, if we do it in the living room I do prop my legs up on the side of the settee but generally I don't bother. As long as it doesn't fall out I figure if the sperm was too stupid to swim up there/in the right direction, I don't want it having any part in my future child anyway haha

    nectarine / 2086 posts

    @Crystal: hmm I never knew there was a correlation but I haven't had any issues so far.

    Side note my fav tip for uti's is that I keep a supply of cranberry extract capsules on hand always. And the moment I ever start to fill the beginnings of one, I pop a few of those puppies in my mouth and it always takes care of it right away!

    @buttermilk: Are they like the Asos tablets? Ill have to try it, thanks!

    @littlek: lol about your DH's IUI description! Are you guys going to ask for that procedure?

    @buttermilk: They are both so nice, but the Thonet one is going to be nearly impossible to clean. Trust me, sometimes I want to through our highchair out of the back door. Those things are such a pain to clean, let alone when they have the netted seat

    @FaithFertility: i'm sorry

    Nothing yet, but it's still too early to O. If this isn't our month, i'm asking for a trigger shot along with the clomid next time. Also, asking for the monitoring of an RE. I don't think i'll be willing to do Clomid again without CD3 , CD12 and CD21 monitoring. But I think with a trigger shot the monitoring is part of the process anyway, so that should be good.

    @FaithFertility: I'm so sorry honey. I was really hopeful for you. Praying that you get a sweet sticky little bean this cycle. Hugs

    Just realized there's a board for this! And that I've been trying for 6 months...

    Estimated O Date: Hopefully earlier than past months...but estimated for around 2/17 (CD 23 of a 29 day cycle).

    POAS/AF date: I probably won't get to POAS, but AF is expected by the end of the month.

    Cycle #: 6 for LO #2

    Trying new this cycle: Nothing, but keeping up with my B6

    Are you planning on doing anything for Valentines day?: DH's birthday is on the 10th, so hopefully we'll make it out for a dinner at some point, if we can find a babysitter.

    So two of my mom friends (one of whom had her daughter the day after I had my LO) have announced that they're pregnant with #2, within a week of each other....it's so weird to be so happy for people and so crushed at the same time.

    I had +OPKs Friday night and all day Saturday. Temp dip Sunday leads me to believe Sunday is/was O. Today temp was higher but not super high yet. When I enter fake temps the next couple days, FF says O was today which I'm not buying. Anyways I've noticed tinged CM today on occasion. Twice earlier and again just now. I have no clue what could be causing it. So weird though!

    Only CD 21 and I've been feeling very dull cramping all day which isn't uncommon for me the week before my period but ugh for symptom spotting!

    Just been to my doctors, have been booked in for a further scan as I thought but have also been told that under the local guidelines, if DH's SA comes out fine and if I have another blood test and it shows ovulation this time, I will be diagnosed with unexplained infertility (despite my high prolactin, short luteal phase and very light period) they will not make a referral for unexplained fertility until 18-24months. Before that point they only treat PCOS or an ovulation.
    Feeling really upset but we have work men in laying carpets so I'm going to ave to hold it together till they have gone!

    @littlek: amazing! I loved NYC so much! We're sitting in the airport right now bc our flight is delayed but other than that we had a great time. The weather was warmer than we expected (30-40) and the one day of snow wasn't bad at all

    And now we're finally boarding!

  30. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

    @Crystal: It's happened before but if it's from BD, it's usually right afterwards. Not a couple days. We last BD Sunday afternoon. It's so odd. I noticed some this morning when I wiped too and I'm only 2DPO so it can't be anything of importance either.

    Like I said, this IS our month. I overlapped my chart from my chemical cycle with my current chart and so far O and 2 days of post-O temps are almost exact. I know it *really* doesn't mean anything but I'm going to continue to be overly optimistic. Best part is we would have a EDD of DH's birthday!

  32. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @LindsayInNY: That's awesome! fx! My LOs EDD was my DH's birthday. Of course, he came 6 weeks early, but that's another story.

    @littlek: Last night, DH said he doesn't want me having unrealistic expectations and being disappointed. I told him first, that won't happen because this is our cycle. But, if not, we have a consult already scheduled so no biggie!

    I'm so confused. What is going on with my body?! No temp spike yet, no true positive OPKs, creamy/sticky CM, boobs hurt like CRAZY, cramps/twinges the past two days, CP is high and vaginal wall is swollen. WTF body?! Work yourself out!

    I did call my doc yesterday to say that I did not believe I ovulated, so the 50 mg of Clomid did not work as it was supposed to. They nurse got some details from me and said they would call back, I'm still waiting on that call. But I'm wondering if they will do a progesterone blood draw at least, if not an u/s to check on the follicles. So confusing and so stressful!

    And of course, I received the news that yet another friend is pregnant! Though this time, I'm truly TRULY happy for them. They tried for 15 months before getting their BFP!

    pomelo / 5000 posts

    @sarahnicole218: strange indeed! So your + OPKs recorded on your chart weren't really +? I would definitely push for both blood work and an u/s. I feel like a broken record, but since Clomid can thin out your lining (it happened to me), you want to get that checked as well. How many rounds of Clomid have you taken now?

    @snowdrop: I'm sorry. That sounds incredibly frustrating.

    @LindsayInNY: It sounds like a win win this month, so yay!

    @sarahnicole218: I'm sorry, that's so annoying,

    I am feeling a little grouchy this morning, stemmed from jealousy and annoyance. Someone I know recently announced a pregnancy after not even trying, and was telling everyone in earshot about all the things you need to do to get pregnant. Ummm, yeah.
