What's new? Do you have a lot of pokestops near you? My home neighborhood had a few but I'm at work and opened the app and there are tons! I might take a walk for the first time for lunch. #allforagame

I love Pokemon Go! It's definitely getting me out and moving, too. The other night my husband and I went on a walk to get the toddler to sleep (he always falls asleep in the stroller) and to catch some Pokemon! It was so fun!

We haven't played for a couple days and only for a little while but it's fun! 
Isn't the backlash by people who haven't tried it so strong? (LOL- I didn't say anything about Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad when I wasn't watching)
So what is your rarest Pokemon so far? I stumbled across this chart. We have Ponyta which LO loves bc she kinda looks like a My Pretty Pony. Also we got her on an early morning walk which was a nice surprise. I also have Charmander but only bc he was a starter, I think.

We incubated an egg the other day and a water creature came out. That was exciting. Totally cheated to get the distance. Was driving very slowly through the town stuck in traffic. I was NOT holding the phone. My backseat passenger was.... so don't do this if you are a driver. I know, this is horrible to even admit. I should delete that! LOL!
@ShootingStar: I don't even know what that is. At least DH has some self control.

LO found out if you press your Pokemon in the profile it makes a noise.

I caught a pikachu outside baby gap today and had to stifle a happy dance. Only level 8, but having fun. There is a gym a block from my house, but I can't figure out how to use them, despite passing the level 5 requirement

Around here there are hardly any pokestops so we have to walk/travel to them. All we seem to have are Doduos and Weedles. *sigh*

It does appear they took the option away... probably because they probably get a million emails a day ask for new pokestops.

Pokegoworld.com is a crowdsourced map. I can't figure out how to work it but it's supposed to show where everything is. It's a spoiler so just in case it works for you and you don't want to see it, don't look at it.

@808love: Cool! Thanks! I'm on my computer and I can easily add and see nearby pokestops, pokemon and gyms. I'm not sure what you can do on your iphone, though.
ETA: Link doesn't seem to work on my iphone. It does work when I'm on a computer. Weird.

I have about 30km worth of eggs I supposedly have to walk to get hatched. Maybe I'll take another slow drive today.

@bluestriped bee: I'm with you on being satisfied catching Pokemon. :0 I chose Yellow-Instinct only because it was the least chosen one. Just to be sure, I did an online quiz where you answer a bunch of questions and it tells you which team 'matches' you the best and I was supposed to pick Valor, red but my instinct was yellow so I went with it! At work, I can get to 3 pokestops from my desk (I work at a historical attraction), AND I'm on wireless here (my data plan is hurting after a week out of town with no wireless). Nothing much near my house, though.

@808love: I also have a Jynx. This might be really region-specific, because I haven't even seen some of the "common" ones (in my nearby feed), but I have two in the "epic" category and two "very rare" (and I've only caught 30 total...)

@jaguar: there are definitely more hot spots in certain areas. I haven't come across those jellyfish! We just drove across the town today and found so many different creatures. @Jess1483: Still no epic but we got cool looking boxer hitmochan and that is 'special'.

Yep. I play. It's out during the perfect time, IMO. With all the depressing news going on, it's been a great distraction and actually motivated me to go out and walk! It's officially out in Sweden today and of course, the servers are down 
I was hoping to hatch my egg and see if there's a gym nearby.
BTW, I'm team mystic. Anyone else?

I found an informative link for those that are intimidated by gyms. I trained in a gym for the first time yesterday and it took me way too long to muster up the courage to just do it. I read that it's really difficult to defend a gym because the opponent can easily choose the Pokemon whose type deals the most damage. Here's an informative link that talks about type.

I downloaded it yesterday after being intrigued by all the hype. I think my phone is too old! It kept freezing after I caught a critter, and it wore my battery from full charge to totally dead halfway through our (admittedly somewhat epic) afternoon walk/picnic outing. I could have caught so many more! Boo. (And I live in an area that seems to have a gym on every other block, it's extremely dense. I know I'll have a chance at nabbing a bunch on my bus commute though, I've seen people doing that which seems kind of like cheating but whatever.)

@PawPrints: oh yah I suppose the bus is a great place to catch them. I feel ya with losing battery right when the picking is good. That's what happened to me too! Oh and I don't think it said you have to walk on the site. Just an unspoken norm I shall break. I have 40km of eggs I need to hatch and there is no way I'm going to walk that anytime soon. We have only been playing here and there but I keep running into them along my daily travels.

I was so disappointed with the servers yesterday! We explored a new beach and it had so many stops and friendly gyms ... then while I caught something new, it froze and then the server never came back online
