Anybody else just get their polar vortex heating bill? Ouch! More than twice what it usually runs. C'mon spring!

we had to go on the budget plan because ours was outrageous!

ours was 33% higher than a normal winter month. le sigh.

Haven't gotten ours yet. Yikes. And we've had so many snow days that I've stayed home (with the heat on), I can only imagine how high it will be.

We weren't technically part of the polar vortex but we had a week of negative highs. But it wasn't that much more than usual. Maybe cause it's just always cold here??

Shockingly ours was not too bad, it was almost exactly what we paid for last January. But, we did make some changes last year that reduced our average monthly bill by about 25% generally--- so I guess the polar vortex sort of negated our positive energy changes. Also it helps that our home is new and pretty energy efficient (i.e. not drafty etc). And I turned our heat down a little during the vortexes.
