Our last bill was $41.94 but the AC wasn't used yet. We only turned the AC on a few times though so hopefully it doesn't affect it much. Our water bill for this month is a different story though, gasp. We power washed the house, and we definitely pay for it.

I actually was going to start the same thread today. Ours was horrible but it's water + electric. $200 for one month. Holy cow. Electric was $120 while $80 went to water.

LOL! (@myself)
Summer time is usually around $300 a month (May-September). The joys of living in an uninhabitable area. Of course when it isn't blistering heat, it's usually between $75-90.

We're in an apartment, so we pay between $15-45 most months.

We haven't received one yet as our bills come quarterly but as Darwin is godawful expensive, we've been told to expect anywhere from $1200 to $2000 for the quarter...just for power. We have been pretty frugal with the AC, but when it's 92 F everyday (and this is 'winter' mind you), there is only so frugal one can be. Sigh..........

Our last one was 150...not great! This month will be even higher I think, it's been so humid here.

Ours is $120-$150 in the summer. We run our AC every night and like it super cold at night~like 62 degrees cold. In the winter,it's about half that price.
I shudder to think of our electric bill and heating bill when we move to Massachusetts next year. My inlaws pay ridiculous amounts to heat and cool their homes.

Ugh. This month's was $340. LO and I are home a lot and its been over 100 almost every day since mid June.

We live in a hot, humid area, but we're in an apartment. Last month's bill was around $90.

@Bao: Yup. Usually May-September. It's about $200 the rest of the year. Our electric bill also includes trash pickup and water, but those aren't much. We do keep our a/c at 72, which I think is low for a lot of people. We live in the city, and they typically have higher rates than the surrounding county power co's, too. It sucks, but we're used to it now. about 3 years ago, our power co had the highest rates in the nation and we had a $700 bill one August.

@Bao: when I signed up with the energy company they were offering a special where you earned one free day of electricity every month you paid your bill on time. I saved up 15 and applied them to July.

For 60 days our last bill was 70$. During the winter our biggest bill was 200. I gagged.

Summer in South Texas = $220 last month for electric only (another 70ish for water)... & our house is only 900 sq ft! *womp womp*

Our electric + water comes out to around 279/month. Our place is 2150 sq feet!

Mine went from $42 in May to $91 in June. We've had the AC on every day so far in July, so I'm not looking forward to the next bill!

We get a combined gas and electric bill once every 3 months. The one we just paid was $900! ugh....

Fortunately, our electric bill is included in our rent. We still get a statement telling us how much we use and it's usually between $300-400 a month. We don't even have central a/c!!

We get a bill every 2 months and our last winter bill was near $300. Now that the weather is nice, I'm curious to see how much the bill will be. We don't have A/C, so I'm hoping it will drop drastically. But energy is SO much more expensive in Europe in the US. Our average monthly bill in the US was about $60.

We paid $155 most recently...which was for the month of May, I think that includes when we came home from the hospital with LO and immediately had a heat wave. After such a hot June and being home all month on maternity leave, I am so scared to see our next bill. I am prepared for the worst...maybe $250? We don't have central air and kept our window units on a LOT last month.

It's usually over $200 in the summer but it was only about 150 this time.

Ours runs $200-300 in the summer but EVERYTHING in our house is electric. Some months it's as low as $60, and it runs about $100 in the winter.
