Curious what y'all think of this:

I'm pretty liberal and think we should combat true racism, but I'll admit I find the microaggression thing a bit baffling (like saying "you guys" is bad because it could leave out women).

I worry that all this "sensitivity" training will make people afraid to talk to people not like them for fear of offending someone, even if they have good intent. I think it would be more effective to encourage people to have open dialogue, keep an open mind to others' experiences, speak up when something offends you, and try to let some things slide rather than assuming the worst.

But maybe that's my cis white woman privilege talking!
