Goodnight moon. I actually just read it the other night and felt really creeped out by it!

There have been some hilarious threads on this! I agree, Goodnight Moon is a no go. "Good night nobody" with the illustration being a blank page? Ridiculous.

Sandra Boynton doesn't always make sense, so I don't love her. A whole book about a hippopotamus and then the last page is about an armadillo? Pshh...

There are so many though. "Sheep in a Jeep". Don't like.

And then there are ones like "Big Red Barn" which I used to hate because it doesn't quite rhyme... but for some reason it grew on me.

I started a thread on this awhile ago and it was so funny - I loved it!

I don't like "On the night you were born" makes no sense to me and it's not really a "story" and no kid I've ever read it to actually likes it or understands it.

Oh and I hate Squishy Turtle. I think it's scary for the little ones it was designed for. The shark is looking to eat the other sea creatures!

I find Guess How Much I Love You before awkward to read. The wording just doesn't flow well. I didn't like Goodnight Moon at first because I found it very dreary. My daughter loves it though - she's always picking that one out. I don't mind it as much now. Some of the Sandra Boynton books are kind of strange but most are fun to read.

How about Babar? The hunters kill the mother... traumatic much?

Also, the Pigeon books are annoying to me. Although I do like some of his other books.

Oh and is Guess How Much I Love You the one with the kid playing by the toilet? That was a no-go just judging from the cover!

I don't like Goodnight Gorilla either, but N loves it.

I didn't like Goodnight Gorilla or Good Night Moon but they grew on me since LO liked them. Now I really appreciate Good Night Moon is actually pretty educational as far as all of the items LO can look for. We both don't like Guess HOw Much I Love You (the bunny one). Also I feel the same as pp about many of the other books mentioned.

@glimmersnaps: no, Guess How Much I Love You is the book with bunnies. The one with the kid playing with TP by the toilet on the cover is I Love You Forever.

I don't like either book, especially the latter though because it's creepy like @Digapony described! Sweet at first, but weird as the boy grew up.

Where the Wild Things Are... I never wanted to see the movie either!
