I plan to take 1 picture a week with Charlie or Olive until the end of the year. Yikes! Even that is tough to commit to sadly.

@Mrs. Bee: I love the idea! But would it be possible to have threads like this only viewable by registered users? Or maybe with members with a minimum post count? Like 50? It would encourage new users to post while maintaining a bit of privacy.

I love the idea of taking more pictures with my kids. I'm always the one taking pictures of my kids with my husband and so I asked him to take more pictures of me and the kids b/c I have so little. Hopefully I'll have more from now on. Here we are yesterday lounging on the couch.

So I thought that there were plenty of pictures of me with my LO since DH always has a camera with him. Turns out I've been the one behind the lens lately, and DH has a lot of photos with LO instead of me. So I will accept the challenge and try to take a photo at least once a week.

I accept the challenge but am also concerned about anonymity. Deleting after some amount of time sounds like a good compromise. I couldn't find any photos of me with the kids less than a month old! 
So I will post when I have taken one!

However, I did want to emphasize that if you are concerned about anonymity, you definitely shouldn't upload pictures of you and your LO! Even if we delete the thread, you have to consider the possibility that the pictures will last forever online.

@Mrs. Bee: your hair looks awesome!! I am in no-style mode after baby... your hair is inspiring me to finally get off my butt and into a salon to figure out a style.
I'm pretty free with my photos of myself and my kids, but I know others are sensitive to their photos being online... it would be nice to have these threads "expire" after a bit so the regular users can put a face to the (user)name even if there are users who are wary of posting!
I LOVE the idea of it being monthly because it will definitely make me want to take more pics with my kids!!!
That being said, I have nooooo recent pics. I'll try to take some tonight and post!!

Yeah, maybe delete it weekly or after a certain number of days or give the option to make it private so only registered users can see it just like crumbs suggested. I only posted today b/c it was the first decent picture of me and my boys that I've taken, ever.

@mrbee: yeah, this is a dilemma for me. I will have to think about this. I want to actively participate but at the same time I don't want everything out for the whole world either. This is really the first time I have been an active (well, active for me, maybe not compared to others) member of an open community, and i'm still trying to figure out what my comfort level is. If we do ever build a private threads feature, it will have to be carefully thought out to minimize the chance of privacy issues... I think just offering "private threads" would not be enough to do that.

@mrbee: I'm not *worried* as much as I like that I can post "tmi" here without necessarily having people I know in real life read about it I did recommend the site to a mom friend, so I'm totally ok with her knowing who I am. but I liked hellobee on facebook, so I don't want family members or friends accidentally (or on purpose!) figuring out my ID here and reading about all my lovely issues
