Hi! I am wondering everyone's thoughts on Pottery Barn Kids products and how they hold up and if there are worth the extra money?

Can’t speak to anything else but the backpack we bought for kinder still looks great and I’m hoping will make it at least 2 more years. Mostly i was drawn in by the patterns they offer! I had it monogrammed locally. Definitely buy with a coupon or sale.

I always buy with a sale or % off so its not really that more expensive.
I have been happy with their towels and backpacks - when my kids were in DCP they used their napmats and they lasted 4 years each!

I’ve never purchased their furniture because I’ve heard from friends IRL that for the cost it’s not great quality. But I can’t back that up with personal experience.
I’ve purchased sheets for my big boy’s bed, a rug for his room, a pair of PJs. I’ve been happy with them all.
I’ve been gifted a lunchbox, towels, and stroller blanket. All have been good so far (not amazing but certainly not bad). Oh and gifted an anywhere chair for the big boy too. Tbh, I’m not in love with it, but he loves it! He uses it daily.

I have purchased crib sheets, big boy bedding, blankets, towels and a lunch box. Always when they have a sale but all are holding up well. I really like their towels for bath and the beach. The crib sheets have held up very considering they are on baby #2.

I love their hooded towels for kids. They are super nice quality and soft. I purchased a backpack from them for my older son for camp/K. The quality seems great and I expect it to last a couple of years. I wait and buy during sales.

I really like the quality, but the shipping/customer service for big items can be abysmal. I’ve bought things it said were in stock and then they’re not and it will take MONTHS and many aggravating phone calls to get.
But little things are fine, like towels, sheets, storage bins, etc!

I loved their crib bedding. The sheets held up over two kids. It was great.

I really like the quality of the sheets and quilt I got for my daughter's room. We're going on 3 years of daily use, and they still look great - not worn at all.
I haven't bought any furniture from PBK, but the couple of pieces I have from regular PB have held up really well over a long period of time. I've also bought curtains and rugs that I really liked.
ETA: I also used their free design service for my daughter's nursery. The crib bedding I wanted was back ordered, so for free they recommended paint swatches that would match the bedding via email, so we could go ahead and paint her room on schedule and had it ready when everything arrived.

We used their complimentary design services. A designer came over to our home and helped us pick everything for our toddler girl’s big girl room.
The design services were wonderful and we love everything we purchased—bed, dresser, nightstands, toy chest, rug, curtains, bedding...the only thing we didn’t get is wall decor because I am indecisive

I bought small backpack two years ago and we are going for third year. It is super durable. We used it 75 percent of the time in kinder and 100 percent of the time in second.

Great! Thanks everyone who commented! I have recently purchased a few items since little one was born ( I am in Canada so our items are a little pricier but I haven't had them long enough to know how long they will last (everything is so beautiful from there I want to but it all haha) so it is good to know that a lot of you say things like the backpack or sheets have held up

@bhbee: Thanks! Good to know ~ I was wondering about the backpack actually

@Alba4: I will wait to buy from the sales too they seem to always have sales - even in Canada good to know about towels we are in the market for some new ones too

I’ve like their soft product, but furniture I haven’t been super impressed with for the price
But my real niggle is that their monogramming department must be smoking something. I’ve had two things arrive on a slant and one monogrammed completely incorrectly. Just the first letter of a name followed by a period. Which was NOT what was ordered. It’s like the person was like “nah, I’m done”

@lunalove20: I have the silverware and it comes with container. It has lasted two years. Pink paint faded slightly with regular dishwasher use but I'll use it again in 2nd grade if DD doesn't think it is too small for her hands. (She's petite.)
Sorry, earlier I said I used it 100 percent of the time in second and I meant in first grade.

I've had great luck. To me its worth it for their quality, customer service and in the case of furniture the delivery service.
We had PBK nursery furniture that has held up great. And the delivery is great, 2 hour window, 30 minute advance notice call, everything assembled and trash taken with them...
The linens, window coverings and gear we've purchased have also been great.
I always use a 20% off code, or wait til double point days...

We have a play kitchen that is fantastic quality and has held up through 3 moves. We’ve also had the anywhere chair and beanbag for about 4 years and they are still in great shape.
