I always used cheapies I bought from a site in Canada.

I'm sure the cleablue digital ones are super easy, but honestly once you see your first positive on a cheapie you'll easily able to tell when you have a positive or not. They really aren't that hard to interpret and the savings are significant.

You should def splurge and get the "good stuff" to ease your mind!

I just used Target ones and they worked fine for me!

I prefer Wondfos. I like that they are cheap enough I can go through as many as I want without worrying about the cost, and they have always been accurate for me. I have a irregular cycles so I like being able to start testing early and just keep going until I get positive results (and confirm O through charting). If your cycle is shorter and more reliable, the cost might now be as big an incentive to you.

I use Clear Blue Digital. Just the basic kinds. Unless money is an issue, I don't even see how someone would want to use a wondfos for anything of the non-digital sort. Even if money is an issue, the digitals are reasonable if you just need to use a handful a month.

Last time I used wandfos (but never really got clear positives) and clear blue easy digital to confirm. This time I used clear blue easy advanced digital and got pregnant the first cycle using them. I like how they give you high days and peak days. For me, having a heads up by a few days to ovulation was helpful.

@MrsMcD: I think because they haven't seen a positive yet. I think once you know what a positive looks like, it's pretty clear when you don't have one.

I had trouble interpreting them until I saw my first positive and from then on I never had any trouble deciding if a test was negative or positive.

@pui: I used them pretty religiously with trying to get pregnant for my son and had a lot of almost positives but never that dark. But got positive digitals and got pregnant so I definitely was ovulating!

I like the wondfos but I agree with @pui: that it makes it much easier to interpret them once you see a positive, so I would suggest using the digitals and wondfos together for a month or two and then switch to just the wondfos if you need to. I didn't realize that with the digitals you do need to take it consistently several days in a row, you can't just take one to confirm a positive wondfo.

I prefer Babi brand to Wondfo. Less fading in and out on different tests and super cheap. Got pregnant my 2nd cycle using them. I would have used the Clearblue monitor but I have PCOS and my cycles are wackadoo.

I'm using clearblue digital right now. Second month on them and I've gotten smileys exactly when I thought I would. They seem pretty accurate.

Can't attest to whether or not they worked yet but will let you know in about two wks!

I've used Wondfo, Babi, and the CBE Advanced.

All of them work fine, but, I do now have a preferred set-up.

Wondfo - was accurately positive when I O'd, but, it did cause me some confusion and wasted time, because I had a lot of days where the test line was allllllmost as dark as the control.

Babi - I switched to Babi because of the sensitivity of the Wondfos (and the resultant perpetual almost positive test line). With Babis I have a very pale hardly visible test line until really close to O. On the downside, with the Babis I think I could easily miss getting a positive if I weren't testing multiple times per day (but I do, so, doesn't matter for me).

CBE Advanced - I hesitated on this due to the negative reviews. But, then I actually read a lot of those reviews and discovered that they were largely from women who were mad that they didn't follow the directions (and then it didn't work properly) or were disappointed because it didn't detect ovulation in what sounded like long, anovulatory cycles.

CBE (regular or advanced) will be painfully expensive if you have long or irregular cycles. But, if you have regular cycles and can time their use well, the smiley faces are very reassuring. It is also helpful timing-wise to have the heads up of increasing fertility prior to the LH surge.

If this is not the month, I plan on using Babi and CBE Advanced again.

@lilyofthewest: I agree, I think a lot of the bad reviews are due to user error. I've really liked the cbe advanced digital, and even though I have irregular cycles, after using them a few times I wa able to narrow down the days to use them. I never once got a positive from a wondfo even though I was fairly certain I WAS ovulating due to temp shifts

Also I get them on amazon subscribe and save which really helps! I think it's set for a 20 test box every 3 months and you save 5% or more if you subcribe to other items as well

My cycles are really long, so I bought a big pack of Wondfos on Amazon to save some money. I had used the cheapo Target brand ones too and they worked the same for me.

Hands down, the ones with the smiley face. I really hate trying to figure out if one line is darker than the other. I actually thought pregnancy lines were like that. Didn't realize any line was a line for pregnancy.
