@lazypanda: That's interesting. I'm curious about what the genetic counselor will say. Wow-- 8 vials is a lot! FX for lots of good news!

@Sunshine1810: try not to worry! At 6w1d my dr only saw two sacs with nothing in them. By my 8 week scan there were two healthy babies. Many offices just have crappy machines plus I was actually only about 5w5d when I went in, as they found out once the twins were measured. Have hope!

@Sunshine1810: I just know you will see your little one at the next visit!!
Waiting for the call today or Monday with the blood test results. Can't wait to find out if little pumpkin is a boy or girl!!!!
We just sold our townhouse (only listed 15 days) and the buyer wants to close before Thanksgiving so we now have just one month to pick a house and pack and move. Stress and chaos is my life right now!! But feeling good about being 13 weeks and out of the 1st trimester! Tummy is getting much bigger!

@lazypanda: Thinking good thoughts about the genetic test!! Wow, I didn't know they can test so early for gestational diabetes. That's good that you can find out earlier, just in case.

Thanks everyone, I know all the wondering if the baby is ok is normal, I just really need to keep reminding myself that the high risk weeks are behind me and statistics are on my side now for a successful pregnancy.
@Jenn23: Wow! How exciting and stressful at the same time! Can't wait to hear what your having:) Hope all the blood work comes back perfect. They wanted my blood work anytime after 15 weeks which will be next week but mine doesn't tell gender unfortunately.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I think that's definitely normal...as awful as it is to say. Rest assured, I will probably outdo you on every measure (in terms of feeling anxious and catastrophizing), when it comes my time. FX for more good milestones behind you soon and smooth sailing all the way!

@Jenn23: congrats on the sale! FX you'll find your forever home very soon!
The geneticist called today & definitely reassured me regarding my lab work. Basically, my pre-existing condition was misdiagnosed but similar to what they've diagnosed me with now. I'm just a carrier of a particular gene that shows up as iron deficient anemic. Since DH was already tested & is not a carrier, baby is only at risk of being a carrier like me.

@lazypanda: Phew. Relief. I was catching up on this thread and happy to see this update!
A huge welcome and big 'ole hugs to the newcomers: @Sunshine1810 and @MrsWin. (Did I miss anyone?) I know you both have been through a lot and I'm so happy to see you here!
I'm doing well. This has been a blessedly easy pregnancy all around. Baby girl is growing like a weed. I think she had the hiccups this morning. Yesterday was day 1 of the third trimester for me, which is unreal. Time to really get organized!

@Happygal: @FaithFertility: @FliegepilzHut: thank you ladies! I finished my 3 hr test at noon today & boy am I glad to be done with that. I actually thought there was a chance that I might not even be able to follow through with the test after I saw a very pregnant lady get sent home after her fasting draw!
Also, some even happier news, my SIL just let me know that she is due 2 weeks before me. I had suspected she might be pregnant but thought it would be rude for me to ask, especially since I knew that she had said it was very difficult to lose her pregnancy weight. My brother and SIL said they won't be announcing until after I've announced my pregnancy so I can have the excitement of family & friends being happy for me & DH first. They actually would have told me earlier but were trying to be mindful of my IF journey.

Tiptoeing in here...
Currently: 4ish weeks? Not sure!
EDD: June 26
How did you finally get your BFP? 3rd IUI, first with Letrozole instead of Clomid. 22 months TTC.
Any previous children? Nope
Do you know your babies gender yet? Too soon
Are you more excited at this point or still fearful? Both? My first betas were really good (compared to our chemical cycle). I go back Wednesday for repeats (I'm out of town Monday and Tuesday).

@lazypanda: That's awesome and so sweet!! I wouldn't be surprised if my SIL is pregnant sometime soon and she will likely tell M/FIL right away so that should be an interesting announcement for us...

@LindsayInNY: AH! I haven't been on HB in forever and I pop on and see your name on this board, how exciting!!!

@LindsayInNY: AHHHH...so exciting I think we started on HB around the same time, and maybe even started seeking treatment around the same time, so I am thrilled to see you here!
Things have been so crazy lately. I've been checking in on my lunch break, but replying because I'm just on my phone. It seems like when I'm not working, I am napping, eating or flat out sleeping
I have had a lot of spotting, and it changed to a different texture today so I panicked and we went to the ER (the only place with ultrasound in our area). 3 hours later, and my levels are still rising like they should, in the 8 days since our last scan the baby has grown 10 days worth, and still has a strong, healthy heartbeat! It was such a relief, and so worth the hours in the ER

@lazypanda: When will you know how your 3hr test went? I'm glad you got some clarity on the blood testing issues and things are looking good. Very exciting about your SIL, hopefully you will both be able to enjoy being pregnant at the same time.

@mrswin: It's pure chaos here. We have to be out in a month and still haven't decided on a house. We narrowed it down to two and will decide in the next few days. I can't wait to move into a bigger house and start decorating a nursery soon for the baby!!
Anxiously awaiting a call from the OB nurse with the gender results! It's been 10 days today so I think the results should be in by now. If not today, I guess tomorrow! She will put the gender in an envelope for me to pick up and my husband and I will open it up together when he is home. I can't wait!!!! I think it is a boy, he thinks girl.
pear / 1556 posts
@Jenn23: AHHHH I can't wait for you to get the results!!!! Does your nurse usually have a time in the afternoon that she typically calls? I'm on the edge of my seat!
persimmon / 1085 posts
@Sunshine1810: There are multiple nurses at my OB practice (huge practice) and I have no idea if they call only after a certain time with results. I did just call a few minutes ago and left a message asking if they were in. I had just talked to one of the nurses last Thursday and she said they should be in by today, so that's why I called. I hope I'm not being too much of a pain for them, but come 'on, I'm waiting on big news here!!! I'm so excited to find out!!!!!

I just had a weird phone call with my RE's nurse (most of my conversations with her are weird). She scheduled my ultrasound for Monday which is fine, but then she asked me if I had made a regular OB appointment yet. I told her I hadn't because I was waiting for the ultrasound and for them to tell me when I should. Then she tells me that they are discharging me on Monday (10/27) and that I'll need an 8 week appointment. I hit 8 weeks on 10/30.
I told her I felt more comfortable waiting until after my ultrasound on Monday given how my last ultrasound went. She then told me not to wait. I still think I want to wait. I would love some opinions though as to what you all think I should do! It may sound stupid but I just think it's pointless (and would be difficult) to call and make an appointment this week, only to have to turn around and cancel it Monday?
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Sunshine1810: Well I'm not sure what to tell you. I had my last appointment at the RE at 7 weeks and then they discharged me directly to an OB who set up my first appointment.
Do you know which OB you want to see? I would call and inquire as to when they would want to see you rather than what the nurse thinks! If they don't want to see you until later on then you can just make an appointment for farther out but you will know what the next steps really are Worst case make your DH call and cancel the appointment..that's what I would do.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Sunshine1810: That's odd that they want you to have an 8 week appt not at their office, but some OB offices will see you that early - I know I got my first visit this time at 6 weeks. Just call your OB's office and let them know that you're being discharged pregnant from your RE's office and they've requested you get an 8 week appointment and ask if that would be ok. I agree with others that you could always cancel it later if you had to.
apricot / 390 posts
@Sunshine1810: I would totally make the appointment, and cancel it if needed. Things will go well, hang in there
persimmon / 1316 posts
@Sunshine1810: When my RE saw me at 7 weeks for an u/s he then said he wanted one more ultrasound with him at 9 weeks then to make an appointment with my OB at 10 weeks. I also didn't feel comfortable making one until I had my next u/s with him at 9 weeks so I waited and once I called when I graduated the OB was already totally booked for the next week and then she was on vacation the week after. Thankfully they ended up squeezing me in for my 10 week appointment but not without me totally kicking myself for not calling sooner. I would just make the appointment and stay positive

@FaithFertility: @LindsayInNY: @owlteach: @Mrs.Pinecone316: @mrswin: my sister in law is really awesome, I'm quite fortunate to be close to her.
@LindsayInNY: I'm excited that you're able to join & that 3rd time was the charm for you!
@Sunshine1810: you're welcome! I hope the days go by quickly till your next ultrasound! Also, my RE is the same hospital that I'd deliver at so they were the ones to schedule my appt with my OB.
@owlteach: I'm sorry you had such a scare but yay for great results from the ER!
@mrswin: I received the results & no GD for me right now! All my levels were way below the threshold & my additional hemoglobin a1c test was negative for diabetes. they may still test me at the regular time around 25 weeks though. But for now, no dietary changes needed!
@Jenn23: woohoo! I'm excited for you to find out! I hope that when you decide on the house, it'll be a quick escrow process.
We had our Nt scan today & everything checked out normal! It was great to see baby again & the LO initially would not cooperate & kept moving around a lot. My acupuncturist said my pregnancy pulse is still very strong & secure too. She says we should have a better read on baby's gender in the next couple of weeks. Last week pulse indicated boy, this week girl pulse was slightly stronger.
pear / 1556 posts
@mrswin: That sounds like a good plan. I do know which OB I want to see, so I'll just give them a call and see what they say.
@marionberry: Yeah, I mean I definitely don't want to tell them I need to be seen right away! I feel like I've been at the doctors so much!
@owlteach: Thanks! I hope so!
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thanks for sharing that. I think I needed that extra little kick to just make it. DH reminded me last night that while it would be bad to have to call and cancel, it would also be bad if they couldn't fit me in when I needed an appointment.
@lazypanda: That's a nice way to do it! My RE is in the same office as the OB but I still need to schedule my appointment. It's different practices in the same office...

@lazypanda: That's great! I am so happy your scan went well! Can't wait to hear if it's a boy or a girl!
persimmon / 1085 posts
@lazypanda: That's great you don't have diabetes and I'm glad the NT scan went well!!!! We are actually just renting for one or two years, then will buy, so we don't have to worry about much except signing the lease! We actually decided on the house last night so we will sign in a few days and then start packing!
@Sunshine1810: As others' said, make the appt. and you can always cancel!!!
Well, the results came in this morning. Low-risk for everything which is fantastic news!!!! And the nurse put the gender in an envelope that I picked up this morning. We will open tonight when my husband gets home. It's killing me not to know and knowing I have the results in my possession! I told my husband to leave work early as I can't take the suspense. lol But he can't leave early. So we'll know later tonight!!

@Jenn23: I'm SO happy to hear that you are at low risk for everything! That is amazing news! I can't wait to hear whether it's a boy or a girl! So exciting!!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Sunshine1810: I'm sorry they're giving you a hard time! But it does kind of make it easier to move on, yes? I was given da boot from my RE at 6.5 weeks, and it was nice to feel like a "normal" patient at the OB.
@lazypanda: yeah for a good NT scan! We had a lot of fun at ours. We had no idea she would be spinning and moving all around! Glad to see the good update.
@Jenn23: fun! Any guesses on what you'll see in the envelope? Can't wait to hear if it's a boy or girl.
pear / 1556 posts
@Happygal: It will be nice to feel "normal"! I really just have reservations about it because of how our last ultrasound went. I think I was just shocked that they were telling me to make an OB appointment after that.
