@Alivoo01: Go get some Tea Tree Oil! I swear it magically makes canker sores go away over night. Just dab a little on with a q tip before bed.

@Truth Bombs: shut. Up. I'm so doing that. I'm dying over here. Where do I get tea tree oil from??

I am tired and my back hurts! I'm only 15 weeks and have lost weight (good thing), but my back is always hurting! I've gone in for more 15-30 minute chair massages in the last 2 months than the last 2 years, and I've had to go home and just lay on a heating pad a handful of times too. It doesn't help that I take public transportation home and have to stand at least 1/2 the time after standing a fair portion of the day too.

Failed my one hour GD test by one effing point and have to take the three hour test on Friday. I'm not worried about having GD just annoyed that I have to take the stupid test and have DH take the morning off to watch the baby.

@oliviaoblivia: uhhhhh i also failed the one hour by a very small margin. Passed the three hour of course but it was a major PITA to take the whole morning of work for what I knew was basically a waste of time.

@Truth Bombs: Do you dilute it with anything or apply it directly to the sore with a q-tip?

@Alivoo01: I know this was directed at someone else, but I would just put it on with a q-tip. It will burn! Or it does for me. I also dilute it by putting a drop or two in a pump of aloe Vera and out that on my face for breakouts.

@Mrs. Goose: I rather deal with the momentary pain/burn up front knowing it'll be gone the next day! I'm going on 6 days of unbearable pain (can't eat or talk without excruciating pain). I've started using anebesol yesterday so I can actually eat. I've had canker sores before, but not like this.

Going to pick up some tea tree oil after work today.

@Alivoo01: Directly to the canker sore with the q-tip. It sure doesn't taste good but I do it right before I fall asleep.

@Alivoo01: oh yes, definitely. I find it at my local grocery store and it isn't expensive at all which I love. The burn is how I know it's working.

My pelvis feels like it's in about 4 pieces at this point. And my mil (who I love and is generally great) texts this morning....how are you? Still no baby?.....I wanted to jump thru the phone. Of course we will tell you when baby is eminent. And yes I am still prego, don't remind me!

This thread is brilliant! Feels good to complain

Lightning crotch above anything else. I have a million things to complain about but not being able to play with LO, walk, kick the football with DH, all of that makes me feel like a worthless blob. It's sad to not be able to sit on the floor and play trucks!

@travellingbee: @mrs.shinerblock: @truth bombs: update- had to go and sit in the jury pool all day. First case called involved reckless endangerment of a child, so yeah, the pregnant mom to a toddler was swiftly excused! Second case I said I had a 2 year old and no child care and was excused. But I had to sit there all day long. Why couldn't I say they that when I walked in at 8:30?

On the plus side my back actually feels a little better after not picking the toddler up all day.

@Truth Bombs: @Mrs. Goose: the tea tree oil is working great!! And it kind of works as a numbing agent also so thank you so much for the recommendation ladies!! But i had a question, is it okay to use while pregnant?

    pear / 1737 posts

@Alivoo01: I think as long as as you use it sparingly. The amount you are using is so small that it won't really build up in your system. When I googled a while ago (currently pregnant) I couldn't find anything definitive. As it is essentially deemed a "herbal supplement" people don't really know. So don't drink bottles of it or anything! i would assume it is safer than taking a medication of some kind though. I have used it during my pregnancy when I have needed it.
