Did you get one while you were pregnant? I have been having horrible lower back pain that just won't go away. Did you ask your doctor first? How far were you when you got one?

My doctor gave me a prescription for a prenatal massage around 12 weeks (so insurance would cover it) but I never got one. I did see a physical therapist for a month though to help with back pain.

I got one but I can't remember how far along I was. It was wonderful! I was having some lower back pain and it was fantastic to have someone massage it out. Go get one!

I got one in each trimester and they were great. My OB had said it was ok. Any place that offers prenatal massage should know what to avoid. You should def get one!

I had a prenatal massage at 20 weeks, and it was exactly what I needed. I was suffering from lower back pain for a few weeks, and the massage therapist was able to relieve my pain. I felt 10x better. I highly recommend it!

I got one at 39 weeks and it was AMAZING. I highly recommend it. I didn't feel pregnant the rest of the day. I had never had a professional massage at all of any kind, but it was amazing. I didn't ask my doctor, though. I think the worst thing that could happen would be I'd go into labor, which at 39 weeks would not really be a bad thing. But you should ask if you're worried about it.

I've had several so far. You shouldn't get one during your first trimester and any massage therapist should tell you that and refuse to do one. After that, as long as your blood pressure is good (not too high or too low) you should be okay. I think I've had 5 so far and planned on getting them all throughout my pregnancy but unfortunately the girl I went to moved out of state and I haven't looked for someone to replace her.
I definitely recommend them though! I also struggled with lower back pain and they helped that a lot. Don't be afraid to ask for extra pillows and cram them wherever you need them. I usually used one for my head/neck, one between my knees, one under my belly, and one by my hips.

I got two, one at 14 and one at 16 weeks. I had just finished a big work project, and wanted to relax and really start to enjoy my pregnancy. I found that each time I got really dehydrated (this in spite of drinking close to a gallon of water a day) and headachey. I'd suggest only using a massage therapist who is skilled in prenatal massage, and go in for a relaxation massage, not a therapeutic massage (should mean a lighter touch and therefore less of a reaction afterward).

I got them at least twice a month starting in my second trimester. I get awful migraines so that helped

I've had a few, and I had to get medical clearance for them (I'm considered "high risk" due to twins). My midwives were more than happy to oblige, and it feels SO good. My back pain sucks, and it's a few hours of relief before it starts up again, but it's so worth it!

I started around 12-14 weeks and have gotten one a month since (so 3 total). It's amazing, if you can do it, I highly recommend it! So relaxing and my body feels great afterwards!!!
