It's that time of year again. For the past several weeks, D (22 months) has had a runny nose and cough that wakes him up at night. I've started giving him a teaspoon of honey at bedtime, which seems to help him sleep through the night, but I don't really know how sustainable that is - can/should I really give that to him every night all winter long? I use a humidifier and Little Colds Baby Rub every night at bedtime.

I've done some research and am reading a lot about elderberry syrup for prevention of colds. Has anyone tried this? Any other tips to share with this tired mama for her tired kiddo?
