So this is an actual question, not meant to be snarky or passive agressive:

If you have a random username (like "mrswaterbottle") then how could anyone google you and find private information? For example, say MrsWaterbottle is considering quitting her job and being a stay at home mom but doesn't want her boss to know, then how would anyone (including the boss) ever be able to google that?
And say you post a picture of your kid but dont put his name with it ("minibottle") then no one would be able to identify your kid either.
I think this is far more private than facebook where, if you post a picture, if any of your friends "likes" it or "comments" on it any of THEIR friends can also see it, regardless of if they're friends with you AND they know your name because you posted it. I am very careful about what I put on facebook and i "unfriend" people who I don't think need access to my pictures (old acquaintances i don't talk to anymore, etc)

I guess i am just misunderstanding where the lack of privacy is.
