Just wanted to let some of you ladies know that about 5 of you that I follow on IG just popped up under "people you may know" on my Facebook and I'm pretty sure one of your husbands was there too! I know some bees are more private than others so I just thought I would let yall know!

thanks for confirming why i don't give out my IG/FB to anyone i haven't met in person! I am tempted sometimes to follow everyone on IG and share mine so i can see more cute babies everyday

I know I have a good amount of HB Facebook friends so people I may know include other HBers that they are friends with. But, a good reminder for those hoping to remain more anonymous.

Facebook is crazy. DH's urologist showed up on his people you may know list. They have no mutual friends and it's been almost a year since he went to see him!

@bpcmarj: yeah, it doesn't bother me personally, but I know that it's more important to some bees than others to stay anonymous!
@Boopers: that's insane! The advertising always creeps me out too...they know the kinds of things you look at online.

Facebook must have made some changes behind the scenes recently. I just had one of my tenants from a retail building I manage show up in my "people you may know". We have no mutual friends and the town is an hour away from where I live. It's a little creepy since the only connection I would have is her phone number and email in my contacts. Along with 100 other people I'd rather not be fb friends with...

@artsyfartsy: at first I was like "hey I know that mommy/baby....wait, she's from HB!" totally threw me off. And seriously, one of the friend suggestions is married to a bee I follow on IG....we're being watched! lol

How does everyone know each other on FB and IG!? Is it come Hellobee meet ups!? I'm only friends with some mommies from weddingbee in my sons birth group, and my current pregnancy group!

Oh I have HB people on my suggested friends list all the time but I'd assumed it was because I'm friends on there with a few and it was suggesting them based off of that.

I found a new babysitter recently and the same day she showed up on people I may know, we have no mutual friends so I think Facebook just knew I had added her phone number to my contacts. I was creeped out. I had no idea Facebook saw my contacts.
