I know youtube allows link-only views, but I'm wondering if there is an option for private video sharing. Does vimeo allow this?
My concern with the links is that if I share with family, I know for sure that some family members will forward the links to all their friends..or post to their own social media sites (seriously, older generation - knock it off!).
I also want to share with the ILs, but they do not use social media.

I believe Vimeo allows this. I could be wrong but I you can password protect videos on YouTube and Vimeo.

Unfortch if they forward links, they will probably forward passwords too 
I think posting on facebook with privacy settings is probably the best way (and forcing them to use facebook). Then the only way they could share the video with strangers would be to provide their friends with their facebook login.
As for the ILs, maybe you could set up a facebook account for them, log in with their computer, place a bookmark, and leave a sticky note with the login and password for when they get logged out? (As you can tell, we have several non-social-media-users we help out!)

@sorrycharlie: Just curious, if Vimeo allows this, how will you prevent friends and family from forwarding the password to their friends? Yeah, maybe there's a better video sharing website that only allows certain people view it.
I have never used Google+ but could that be used to limit who sees it?

It says you can limit who sees your videos.
Maybe try it and see if it works.

I'm not really a paranoid person (I swear!) but I try to err on the side of, what would I want "out there" of myself...so I try to think about what O may want "out there" of herself in the future.

@sorrycharlie: I have been fighting with SO's family about this. Apparently I am "crazy" for not wanting them to post pictures and video of LO on e Internet.
