Hi everyone,

My family did a mini holiday session with a local photographer in early Nov. The photog said the files would be ready in 2 weeks (last Saturday). I emailed her Sat night to check, and didn't get a response.. I emailed again on Tuesday night, no response. Both emails were very friendly-- "hope you're well; just wondering, could you please lmk the status? :)" etc.

I decided to call her this morning but no one picked up. Left a voicemail.

What the heck???!! I'm getting frustrated because #1, I really want the photos so I can hurry up and get my holiday cards printed, and #2, because I really wanted to like this photog and hoped to use her regularly in the future (affordable, aligned to my style, local)

I don't want to be the crazy client that bugs her but how can she simply not reply to emails/calls?? I've already paid in full for the session (PayPal).

She is not a random photog I found online. She actually came to my LO's daycare last year (large center) to do portraits. We purchased thru an online site and had no problem, though we didn't really interact with her directly since it was just a pay per image thing. For the mini shoot, I emailed her via her blog and she was very responsive/accommodating. I know she has other clients too because I saw the family that was next in line the day of our shoot.

I want to give her the benefit of the doubt but should I just call it a day and file a complaint to hopefully get my money back? Give her another week? Ugh!!

Am I being scammed or maybe something has gone wrong in her personal life? One thing that does make me think something may have happened is she hasn't updated her blog this entire month.. She usually has at least 1 post a week....

Blah!
