What kind of products do you use on your LO '/ skin?
We use the gentle Cetaphil as a body wash and Eucerin eczema relief cream. (In the white tube with red cap)
I am wondering what others use! Her skin is very patchy right now.

We use this on her patches when they get bad and it works great! Regular CeraVe for all over.

Eucerine baby wash and shampoo and eucerin eczema relief cream. When the patches flair up I use hydrocortisone cream. Her ped recommended all of the above. I feel like it's getting worse right now so I think I'm going to take her to my dermatologist and see what she says.

We use Cetaphil as body wash & Vanicream lotion. If you haven't tried Vanicream I definitely think it is worth a shot...our allergist and pediatrician both recommended it. The Vanicream after bath (soak and seal method) takes care of any of my DD's eczema in a day or two. DS sometimes also requires a bit of prescription steroid cream (Desonide) to clear up a particularly bad patch.

Aquaphor is the best we have tried. I'll use a burts bees ointment for more minor spots but I really can't find anything that beats aquaphor! Vaseline is another good option. I'd like to find a non-petroleum product that works as well but I've just accepted I can't!

Eucerin cream and when patches are really bad aquaphor usually helps.

We use Johnson extra moisture and then seal with Aveeno baby eczema night balm right after bath. If it didn't get better I was about to move to Goodness Bee cream which was highly highly recommended to me by a friend with 3 kids with eczema but right now that combo seems to work for my kid.

We just started using Eucerin and I feel like it's drastically improved her skin. Ped said to use some hydrocortisone under the Eucerin on particularly bad spots, but we haven't tried that yet.

I have bought so many products. My absolute favorites are CeraVe (make sure it is the cream) and Tubby Todd All Over ointment. I also like Vanicream but find it is greasier than CeraVe. Currently we are using Mustela Stelatopia for body wash. In the winter I only give my son a bath every so often and that seems to make a difference too. We also have prescriptions for hydrocortisone and triamcinolone but haven't had to use them since last summer.

We got a compounding pharmacy to mix up this for us - everything is OTC but it's hard to get the consistency right if you DIY. It makes a LOT so if you try it you might want to scale down the quantity.
· Glaxal base cream 200g
· Aquaphor ointment 200g
· Cortate cream 1% 100g
· Add distilled water to achieve a creamy consistency

Vanicream for the win.
LO has really red cheeks as well. We put a thin layer of cortisone cream on them at night covered with Vaseline. I probably should use Aquaphor though instead of Vaseline.

We don't use soap in the bathtub unless he is really filthy, and it that case we use Cetaphil. We apply Curel Itch Defense morning and night everyday, and hit any lingering patches again during the day. The last thing that helps him is running a humidifier in his room overnight during cooler/drier times.

I saw my dermatologist today and she recommended mixing Auqaphor with Cortaid and applying it twice a day. I'm going to give that a try and if it doesn't work I'll take her in to be seen.

I just tried something new for the bright red itchy spots for eczema flare ups. It's called Rose Ointment made with essential oils, and works wonders!
It's sold by Young Living, which I'm sure as many of you know is a MLM, and how dare I even suggest that. But in truth, this is the only product that worked for my daughter, and brings down the redness in minutes, without having to use steroid cream.

@MrsBrewer: I just heard someone else rave about this too. I wish I would have ordered it a few days ago when they had 15% off. I made the daycare providers a body Butter with YL peppermint and lavender oil and one teacher approached me after using it on her son and said after one application the eczema was gone and she was amazed. Love YL stuff!

@Canoli: Wow how awesome!! It's amazing what oils can do and how they help everyone! I've had a little bit of luck with Melrose oil too actually for my DD's skin. There just isn't enough good things that I can say about YL!
