Our local Target has a photo studio that was offering a Groupon, so we used them when LO turned one month old. They're not the best quality, but for the price I'm glad we did them. Now I'm wondering how often we should get these taken...3 months, 6 months, 9 months and then a year? Or only at 6 months and then 1 year?
How often do you take your LO to get professional photos done (either in a photo studio or by a photographer in your home/other setting)?

For the first year I did every three months. Then I did 18 months and 2 years old. Then I just do once a year. We do a family photo once a year as well.

We only did newborns. We just cant afford pro pics regularly.
But lo was flower girl in a wedding at 11 1/2 months and the same photographer that did her newborns did the wedding, and she took tons of pictures of her and of our little family! My sister (the bride) got the Cd of images so we could all get the pictures printed for a good price, so it was a free photoshoot for us!

For the first year we're planning on: newborn, 3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, 12 mo. Second year: 18 months, 24 months. After that, once a year.
It helps that my sister is a professional photographer.

We did newborn photos with a private photog ($$$) I plan to get his next pictures done at 6 months, which will coincide with Christmas photos and then one year. The 6 month photos we will also have professional family photos as well.

we are only doing newborn and 1 year. we use the same photographer that did our wedding...so we can't really afford much more
