I saw the doctor today for my spotting that's been going on for 6 weeks. She prescribed me 12 days of progesterone to hopefully regulate the spotting. (All my lady parts were healthy so that's good at least).
Anyone else had progesterone for bleeding? Did it help?
(I hate picking categories haha, I want it to be like 3 diff ones

@runnerd: i'm glad things went ok at the dr! i haven't taken it to control spotting, but i have taken it to induce AF. honestly, it made me break out terribly & turn into a sleepy, angry psycho =/ but i don't think it does that for everyone & from what i've read my dr does double the normal dose, so that prob made it worse for me. i hope this gets your cycles back on track for you!

I took it to correct a luteal phase defect, which was causing me to spot in between periods. It prevented me from spotting, but I never got a period with it either because I got pregnant my first cycle on it. I was using the suppositories. I used them for 13 weeks, and they actually ended up making me spot because of my cervix. That doesn't happen to everyone though!

Bumping so I don't have to repost the same question!
I'm suppose to start progesterone to help with spotting. Will AF only come once I finish the progesterone? If so, does that mean there's no point to POAS until I finish it? I don't know what to do/expect!!

@LindsayinNY - that was my experience, when it was prescribed a few years back to trigger AF.
