The only month we were going to try to avoid was December. My friend is a Christmas baby and she said she hated it growing up. So I was going to skip what would have been our cycle 4, but we ended up with a BFP on our third! We're due on 11/18, so our LO will likely be a Thanksgiving baby this year!

I wanted a summer baby so bad since I'm a teacher...but we ended up just shy...DD around 8/31. In the district I work in you have to use any days you've saved up for your maternity leave...having a baby in summer would have been awesome, but someone had other plans for us!

My goal was to hopefully get pregnant between January and April. My husband travels extensively for work in the summer and I wanted to avoid giving birth at that time.

Yes, totally. I am much happier person in the spring/summer. I guess those Caribbean roots made me that way. There were some things professionally and personally that we wanted to do in early 2012, which stopped us from starting then. Also DH was born within days of Christmas and does not enjoy that, so we did avoid December. We were very lucky that everything worked out as we "planned."

hahaha so funny that one of my old post resurfaced... My due date is 10/9 which is working out perfectly. I'll be 6 months pregnant for my cousins wedding (i'm MoH) I'll be able to attend my coworkers wedding in late august. I should be done the bulk of my busiest period at work and I should be able to take the rest of 2013 off and come back to work after the new year.

We tried for and got our Christmas baby. I know a lot of people don't like to have birthdays around the holidays. DS was actually born on my brother, my only sibling's, birthday.

We didn't try for a specific time, I would have preferred a spring baby, but we didn't start trying until this fall, so sept baby it is

Didn't try for a certain month, but was happy that we got a summer baby (July). My birthday is on Christmas Day and most of our large families are in the winter (Nov - Feb), so we were happy to spread it out a little!

I tried to plan around my work schedule, so that having a baby would somehow coincide with summer, to make my Mat leave longer.

So I would have been happy delivering in April, May, June, July, or early August--any of those times would have also included summer break (when I get paid anyway) + my 12 weeks of FMLA on working days, for an overall extended Mat leave.

It worked--I'm due in July, three weeks after summer vacation starts. YAY.

I didn't want a tax season baby so we were aiming for May/June/July. LO is due in May on my late grandpa's birthday, so I think we had perfect timing

I doubt we will actually TTC to have a holiday baby, but I thought it would be cool to have a Halloween or Easter baby.

We wanted a dragon baby for #1, but alas, it didn't happen. Otherwise, we were just ready for a baby so we didn't have any restrictions on due dates.

@Chillybear: I'm a September baby! Lots of late fall/ early winter sex going on making September babies.

There was some chart that looked up your date of conception based on your bday. I was.conceived on my mom's bday and my brother was cpnceived on Christmas. Yucko to learn your parents had special occasipn sex.

    That's a really interesting chart!

We wanted a baby born sometime in January - March to increase the chances of LO being a pro-hockey player (based on info from Malcolm Gladwell's book, Outliers). Haha.
