I WOHM M-W and at home Th/Fr, sometimes the reverse. And will continue to do so with LO#2 in the future. If I'm busy, my mom comes over on my at home days. She also watches him when I'm at work. So I don't have daycare advice. Aside from that though - if it made $$ sense, I would DEF take the opp to WOHM part time, just because that is MY calling (WOHM). and I am truly a better person/mom that way.

I only have one and I'll be going back to work PT in march, staying home Tues and Fridays. I look forward to having the best of both worlds, contributing financially and spending time with LO. If what I made didn't more than cover daycare I wouldn't go back it work.

I have two and work pt out of the home. I'm lucky to have a very flexible work schedule, so I specifically only choose to work nights and weekends to minimize childcare costs. We do have an occasional babysitter who fills in for a couple hours a week, and sometimes I take the kids to a nearby drop-in daycare, if my shift starts before my husband gets off work. After taxes, I'm basically paying our childcare costs, so it doesn't make sense for me to work during daytime hours, at this job; if I get a higher paying position, though, then I would consider working more/different hours.
