Hellobee Boards

We've been to a bunch. Our church hosts one, daycare hosts one, the city hosts one. They are chaotic but there are other things to do too, so it's fun!

We've gone to egg hunt parties with friends but not a big town sponsored one. Just not really our thing. Too many people not watching their kids lol.

We have gone to our local one twice and we won't go again. We are going to the one in my parents neighborhood this year and I look forward to that one. I HATE it when parents get involved and start swooping up all the eggs. Just let you kid have fun!

@mediagirl: What is with the parents? We saw that so much last year and I just imagined them all spending their Saturday nights eating 100 tootsie rolls.

We took LO last year but he was only 1 so he mostly observed, one older boy gave him an egg which was really sweet. We'll probably take him this year. They keep kids under 5 separate so that's nice.

It definitely varies! I've been to several hosted by different cities and I've seen parents who basically "claim" and area and won't let other kids or parents into the area, and I've seen some that are wonderful, where everyone is happy to see all the cute kids and are polite and have parents who mediate disputes between kids/babies.

We go to one held at the local university and it's a lot of fun. They organize it so that different age groups look for different eggs. LO1 went when she was a little under 3 and had a great time.

Our neighborhood hosts one that is just for the homeowners, and it's great! They rope off a section for kids 3 and under, so my toddler was able to get lots of eggs last year. We've also tried to go to one hosted by the city, and it was crazy! There were way too many people there, and the big kids were all running like crazy snatching up all the eggs, so the smaller kids left empty handed.
